Viking natures resort! I love this place! It has the most wonderfully chilled out natural Island beach vibe restaurant on Phi Phi. The staff are very fun, caring and keen to please. They work hard to help you enjoy your stay. In the morning you can choose from fruit, cooked breakfast or freshly made pancakes with your breakfast coffee and sit inside or out on individually crafted handmade furniture whilst either chilling to the music and looking at the paintings, carvings and installations placed around you or take advantage of the fantastic open fronted view of the secluded beach & listen to the lapping of the waves. There is a great range on offer from the Lunch & dinner menu, the Thai food is nicely made and has more subtle flavours than I've experienced around Bangkok and other rural areas in Thailand. There is a great food tasting session early in the evenings where you can sample from a selection of dishes prepared to wet your appetite plus you can hand pick from a selection of fresh fish, squid or prawns to have expertly cooked for you by the BBQ chef. We came to discover this restaurant because the location looked amazing — right by the sea — and we wanted a change from our hotel restaurant. The place really is beautiful, so we decided to order drinks and food.

When the waiter brought us the food menu, he just dropped it far from our table without any effort, so my friend had to reach for it and accidentally knocked over her glass, which broke on the table.

Then another waiter came over just to tell us we would have to pay for the broken glass! That’s ridiculous — we were three people ready to order a full meal and several drinks. It really felt like they were just trying to take advantage of tourists.

We got our food served with tiny bugs, that look exactly like the bugs off of unwashed vegetables. We pointed it out to the staff, but it’s really hard to make them such things understand as they don’t speak any other language apart from thai well… we got another dish at the end, and that was also served with bugs 🤮 finally, we got no apologies, no service basically. In better places, they would offer you a drink on the house or some sort of compensation and severe apologies. Also, from one day to another, the price of fresh coconuts went from 60baht to 80baht. They said it’s not true, they were 80baht yesterday too. I showed them my receipt from the day before, when i paid 120baht for two coconuts.
