Hey there, fellow explorers! I've got to share the scoop on my recent hangout at The Bottle & Cat Whiskers. Let me tell you, this place is the bomb and I can't wait to spill the beans!
First off, let's talk about the staff. You know how some places just hire folks to serve you, but here, it's like hanging out with friends. Eve, Singh, and Sammy are the real MVPs. These peeps aren't just friendly, they're like your drinking buddies who happen to know everything about the menu. They made my night 100 times better with their jokes and recommendations.
Now, onto the goods – the drinks, baby! This joint has a range of bevvies that could make even a sommelier blush. Whether you're into good beer, exotic cocktails, or just the classic stuff, they've got you covered. And the best part? The prices won't leave your wallet crying. It's like finding a treasure chest of liquid gold that won't break the bank.
Speaking of the location, it's primo. Smack dab in the heart of the action, it's like the universe conspired to make sure you stumble upon this gem while you're out and about. Trust me, when the thirst hits you, you won't have to trek through the ends of the earth to quench it.
So there you have it, my friends. The Bottle & Cat Whiskers is the place to be. Great drinks, super chill staff (big shoutout to Eve, Singh, and Sammy), and a location that's basically the jackpot of convenience. If you're looking for a good time without emptying your pockets, this joint is where the party's at. Go check it out and...
Read moreI highly recommend you visit the upstairs area to people watch or to sit and drink a good coffee old fashioned. I know the drinks are expensive (for someone who doesn’t usually drink) but it’s one of the best cocktails I’ve had in my life (but then I have a usual preference for whisky sours, amaretto sours, espresso martinis so it is combining some of the flavors my palette enjoys!)
I just really like the ambience of the place because it would feel like I was in a little wine bar that could be anywhere in the world but then I also had a window out into the world of Pai. The difference between the atmosphere inside and outside was pleasantly dichotomous.
I read the other review and while I’m someone who stayed in Pai for a long time, I do think sometimes people get confused at work and mistakes happen and it can happen both ways; over or under charging. If you notice a lot of people use calculators to help them figure out the cost as I’m not sure that mathematics literacy is the same as perhaps where you are from so you may encounter confusion over price again- but this doesn’t necessarily mean you are being scammed. If you were overcharged and they gave you the wrong drink I don’t know why you wouldn’t give them the opportunity to correct the mistake and would instead pay 40 baht more than what it’s worth and let it simmer and enrage you. Sometimes it’s good to assume people have positive intentions until you have proof otherwise. It makes life a bit...
Read moreI had some lovely wine here. I tried both of the reds by the glass, one was a New Zealand Pinot Noir and the other I believe a Sangiovese, (around 260 baht per glass if I remember correctly). Came on two separate occasions and the second time I received a corked wine. Being both a Canadian and a Millennial, I would rather die than send something back in a restaurant, so I drank it. I ended up saying something afterwards (which I felt dumb about since it’s such a faux pas) because I figured a wine bar would want to know if one of its only wines by the glass was faulty. The staff were very apologetic, and took it off the bill even though I definitely wasn’t expecting them to, as I did drink it. Thanks again! I chose to purchase a bottle afterwards. They have a great selection and recommendations from the staff. I chose a Toscana and thoroughly enjoyed it, and even my partner who doesn’t really like wine was impressed. The price was reasonable for the quality (around 1600 baht) although like I said I’m Canadian and am used to paying high prices for wine due to liquor taxes. Thanks Trudeau. I would recommend coming here with some friends and getting a few bottles to share. The atmosphere is comfortable and chill, the staff are beyond polite, and the wine quite pleasant. They have cocktails and...
