The first time coming here was because I saw it on TikTok and through influencers. Turns out, it’s a bit overhyped.
Food: We ordered salmon steak, somtam, iced caramel macchiato, and iced lemon tea. Food Rating: 2/5 • Salmon Steak: This was the first time we had a salmon steak with so many bones in it. On top of that, it was overcooked, making the salmon meat tough. The presentation was actually good, and the portion size was decent. The sauce was just soy sauce. However, because of the many big and small bones, we had to eat carefully, and it wasn’t enjoyable. In the end, we couldn’t finish it because we were worried about the sharp bones. • Somtam: We were hoping to try authentic somtam like the one from its country of origin. But here, the somtam was extremely spicy, with ingredients like unripe mango, caramelized dried anchovies, and small black crabs that weren’t edible. The broth was overwhelming. When we ordered, no one asked about our spice tolerance. Typically, somtam is made from unripe papaya, right? 🫣 Because it was super spicy and sour (from the mango), we couldn’t finish this either. • Iced Lemon Tea: It was too sour. After having the spicy and sour somtam, drinking an overly sour lemon tea made us worried about acid reflux, so we didn’t finish it either. • Iced Caramel Macchiato: It was just okay, nothing special.
Service: 4/5 The staff was friendly and quick to respond.
Ambience: 5/5 The atmosphere was amazing! It felt like being in Europe, with stunning views of the sea, lots of speedboats parked, a clear blue sky, and a serene, peaceful vibe. It was so comfortable and relaxing that we didn’t want to leave, though of course, that’s not possible!
This café undoubtedly offers beautiful scenery and a cozy location, but they should improve the taste of their food. If the food were delicious and matched the beautiful setting, it would be the perfect combination, even though the prices are...
Read moreNestled on Pratumnak Hill, City Coffee Pattaya is celebrated for its breathtaking vistas of Pattaya Bay, Bali Hai Pier, and the cityscape. The café’s ambiance, reminiscent of a Korean-style setting adorned with vibrant yellow flowers, provides a picturesque backdrop that’s popular among visitors seeking Instagram-worthy moments.
The establishment offers both indoor and outdoor seating, allowing patrons to choose between air-conditioned comfort and open-air relaxation. While the outdoor area provides unobstructed views, some guests have noted the presence of insects and occasional exposure to cigarette smoke, suggesting a need for designated smoking zones.
In terms of refreshments, the café serves a variety of beverages, including matcha lattes and cappuccinos, priced between 50 to 85 baht. While some customers appreciate the affordability and taste, others feel the drinks are average and could benefit from refinement. The food menu features items like chicken nuggets and fries, which have received positive feedback, though the dessert offerings, such as cakes, have garnered mixed reviews regarding their value and flavor.
Service is generally prompt, with orders typically delivered swiftly despite the café’s popularity. However, during peak times, seating can be limited, and the indoor area may become crowded. It’s also worth noting that the café operates on a policy requiring each guest to order at...
Read moreI visited City Coffee Pattaya for breakfast, and it was such a relaxing way to start the morning. The view is absolutely beautiful, you can see the beach from above, and the atmosphere feels calm and breezy. It’s a great spot to just sit back, sip your coffee, and enjoy the scenery
The café opens at 8 AM, which is perfect for a slow, peaceful morning. The food and drink selection isn’t very large, but what they have tastes pretty good and well-prepared. I ordered breakfast and coffee, and both were satisfying, though not extraordinary. Just note that there’s no rice menu, so it’s more of a Western-style breakfast place, think sandwiches, pastries, eggs, and drinks.
Prices are on the higher side, but not overly expensive considering the view and ambiance. You’re really paying for the experience and the scenery, which makes it worth it if you’re looking for a cozy place to relax or take some nice photos.
Overall, City Coffee Pattaya is a lovely café with stunning views, good vibes, and decent food, perfect for a quiet breakfast or casual hangout while...
