Arrival and Check-in
I arrived quite early on my check-in date at the Intercontinental Pattaya Hotel. Despite the early arrival, the staff, particularly Khun Fairy, the RDM, was incredibly accommodating. We decided to have lunch at the Element restaurant while waiting for our room. To our delight, Khun Fairy informed us that we could opt for an early check-in right after we finished our lunch, which was around 1 PM, well ahead of the usual 3 PM check-in time. This thoughtful gesture set a positive tone for our stay.
Room and Amenities
We stayed in a "2 Queen Junior Suite Garden View" room, which was very spacious and clean. The room was well-appointed with modern amenities and the beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The view from the room overlooked the lush gardens, adding a tranquil and scenic touch to our stay. However, due to the hotel's extensive greenery and natural surroundings, there were quite a few living creatures around, including mosquitoes, which were occasionally annoying.
The bathroom was equally impressive, equipped with a large bathtub and rain shower. It featured luxurious toiletries from Byredo, including shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. These high-end products added a touch of indulgence to our daily routine. Housekeeping was attentive and ensured the room was immaculate throughout our stay.
Dining Experience
The dining options at the Intercontinental Pattaya were exceptional. Our initial experience at the Element restaurant was delightful. The lunch menu offered a variety of delicious dishes, and the service was prompt and friendly. Throughout our stay, we had the opportunity to try several other dining options within the hotel, each meal proving to be a culinary delight. The breakfast buffet was extensive, offering a wide range of local and international dishes. I particularly enjoyed the fresh seafood and the Thai specialties.
Every meal we had at Element was taken extra care of by Khun Phakamon. She consistently checked if my son needed anything extra, even apart from the menu, since he is very young and has a diet of non-seasoned food. Her attentiveness and willingness to accommodate his dietary needs were greatly appreciated and made our dining experience even more enjoyable.
During breakfast, Khun Nutty, the manager of housekeeping, checked on us to ensure everything was going well in our room. We appreciated this thoughtful gesture, especially since we were staying as a family of three—my wife, our 1-year-old son, and myself. Their mindfulness towards our family’s needs was very reassuring.
Facilities and Services
The hotel boasts a range of facilities that cater to both relaxation and recreation. The swimming pools were a highlight, especially the infinity pool with its stunning ocean view. The fitness center was well-equipped and clean.
Customer Service
The customer service at the Intercontinental Pattaya was outstanding. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a pleasant stay. Special thanks to Khun Fairy, the RDM, who made our check-in process smooth and provided exceptional service throughout our stay. Additionally, Khun Nutty’s attentiveness during breakfast and Khun Phakamon’s care at Element restaurant were much appreciated and made our stay even more comfortable.
Overall Experience
Overall, my stay at the Intercontinental Pattaya Hotel was delightful and memorable. The combination of luxurious accommodations, excellent dining, top-notch facilities, and exemplary service makes it a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Pattaya. While the natural surroundings add to the hotel's charm, the presence of mosquitoes was a minor inconvenience. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and...

Room: For both nights, I booked a Classic Garden View luckily got upgraded to a King Junior Suite Ocean View 🏖 – quite impressive! 😍 On the first night, after returning from evening cocktails, there was a strong scent of weed around the room, which may appeal to those who like free perks 😂. The next morning, I requested a room change and was moved to a King Junior Suite Ocean Front with a more stunning view 🏖🌅 and no lingering odors, allowing me to relax on the balcony and enjoy the scenery.
Breakfast: Club Lounge: Options included stir-fried basil beef/pork dishes that were inconsistent in flavor, with one being too sweet and another too salty. The crab omelet was standard. Elements Restaurant: Offered a broader selection of fresh, rotating items based on guest volume. Options included rice porridge, congee, noodle soup with pork/chicken, stir-fried chicken with basil, cheeses, fruits, TWG tea, and more. There was even a hidden menu item – fresh coconut, which I only discovered on my departure day. Infiniti Restaurant: Ordered the wagyu burger on both days. The first day, it was served very well done and too dry. After giving feedback, it was cooked medium-well to well-done on the second day, retaining more juiciness. The sauce was flavorful and spicy. The striploin sandwich, cooked medium-rare, was juicy (though not eligible for the 20% discount as it is part of a lunch-only set menu). Elements Restaurant (Specific Dishes): The stewed pork belly came with six pieces, four of which were pure fat. After inquiring with the staff, a staff member named Lin kindly offered a replacement with better meat-to-fat balance, delivering a delicious salty-sweet flavor. The green curry was initially too sweet. I tried balancing it with fish sauce and chili but was observed and asked by Lin, who have it remade for me. However, it returned as red curry instead, presumably due to running out of green curry paste. It had a more balanced flavor, though. The fried sea bass with mango salad was slightly too sweet, but I chose not to request a replacement. Welcome Drinks: Available at Infiniti but had limited options without cocktails. Evening Cocktails: The canapé menu varied between the two days, with some dishes being quite good. On the first day, club staff prepared cocktails themselves, which weren't very well-executed. My wife and I each had 1-2 drinks. The second day, Omsin, a skilled bartender, returned and significantly improved the drink quality. My wife and I enjoyed a total of 6-7 drinks together. Children are allowed in the club lounge during evening cocktails, so some noise and activity from kids may be expected, especially if parents are not fully attentive. Beachfront: On clear days, you may be lucky enough to witness a stunning sunset resembling a large salted egg yolk. Special Commendation: I would like to commend Lin from Elements for noticing and responding to feedback about the food and the attentive service-minded staff in the club lounge 😍. Overall Impression: A truly enjoyable stay with a feeling of relaxation, largely thanks to the suite upgrade with a breathtaking view on the second day. I would...
