Arrival and Check-in

I arrived quite early on my check-in date at the Intercontinental Pattaya Hotel. Despite the early arrival, the staff, particularly Khun Fairy, the RDM, was incredibly accommodating. We decided to have lunch at the Element restaurant while waiting for our room. To our delight, Khun Fairy informed us that we could opt for an early check-in right after we finished our lunch, which was around 1 PM, well ahead of the usual 3 PM check-in time. This thoughtful gesture set a positive tone for our stay.

Room and Amenities

We stayed in a "2 Queen Junior Suite Garden View" room, which was very spacious and clean. The room was well-appointed with modern amenities and the beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The view from the room overlooked the lush gardens, adding a tranquil and scenic touch to our stay. However, due to the hotel's extensive greenery and natural surroundings, there were quite a few living creatures around, including mosquitoes, which were occasionally annoying.

The bathroom was equally impressive, equipped with a large bathtub and rain shower. It featured luxurious toiletries from Byredo, including shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. These high-end products added a touch of indulgence to our daily routine. Housekeeping was attentive and ensured the room was immaculate throughout our stay.

Dining Experience

The dining options at the Intercontinental Pattaya were exceptional. Our initial experience at the Element restaurant was delightful. The lunch menu offered a variety of delicious dishes, and the service was prompt and friendly. Throughout our stay, we had the opportunity to try several other dining options within the hotel, each meal proving to be a culinary delight. The breakfast buffet was extensive, offering a wide range of local and international dishes. I particularly enjoyed the fresh seafood and the Thai specialties.

Every meal we had at Element was taken extra care of by Khun Phakamon. She consistently checked if my son needed anything extra, even apart from the menu, since he is very young and has a diet of non-seasoned food. Her attentiveness and willingness to accommodate his dietary needs were greatly appreciated and made our dining experience even more enjoyable.

During breakfast, Khun Nutty, the manager of housekeeping, checked on us to ensure everything was going well in our room. We appreciated this thoughtful gesture, especially since we were staying as a family of three—my wife, our 1-year-old son, and myself. Their mindfulness towards our family’s needs was very reassuring.

Facilities and Services

The hotel boasts a range of facilities that cater to both relaxation and recreation. The swimming pools were a highlight, especially the infinity pool with its stunning ocean view. The fitness center was well-equipped and clean.

Customer Service

The customer service at the Intercontinental Pattaya was outstanding. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a pleasant stay. Special thanks to Khun Fairy, the RDM, who made our check-in process smooth and provided exceptional service throughout our stay. Additionally, Khun Nutty’s attentiveness during breakfast and Khun Phakamon’s care at Element restaurant were much appreciated and made our stay even more comfortable.

Overall Experience

Overall, my stay at the Intercontinental Pattaya Hotel was delightful and memorable. The combination of luxurious accommodations, excellent dining, top-notch facilities, and exemplary service makes it a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Pattaya. While the natural surroundings add to the hotel's charm, the presence of mosquitoes was a minor inconvenience. Nevertheless, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and...

IC Pattaya Review: Booked 2 Nights as a Diamond member + ALM

Room: For both nights, I booked a Classic Garden View luckily got upgraded to a King Junior Suite Ocean View 🏖 – quite impressive! 😍 On the first night, after returning from evening cocktails, there was a strong scent of weed around the room, which may appeal to those who like free perks 😂. The next morning, I requested a room change and was moved to a King Junior Suite Ocean Front with a more stunning view 🏖🌅 and no lingering odors, allowing me to relax on the balcony and enjoy the scenery.

Breakfast: Club Lounge: Options included stir-fried basil beef/pork dishes that were inconsistent in flavor, with one being too sweet and another too salty. The crab omelet was standard. Elements Restaurant: Offered a broader selection of fresh, rotating items based on guest volume. Options included rice porridge, congee, noodle soup with pork/chicken, stir-fried chicken with basil, cheeses, fruits, TWG tea, and more. There was even a hidden menu item – fresh coconut, which I only discovered on my departure day. Infiniti Restaurant: Ordered the wagyu burger on both days. The first day, it was served very well done and too dry. After giving feedback, it was cooked medium-well to well-done on the second day, retaining more juiciness. The sauce was flavorful and spicy. The striploin sandwich, cooked medium-rare, was juicy (though not eligible for the 20% discount as it is part of a lunch-only set menu). Elements Restaurant (Specific Dishes): The stewed pork belly came with six pieces, four of which were pure fat. After inquiring with the staff, a staff member named Lin kindly offered a replacement with better meat-to-fat balance, delivering a delicious salty-sweet flavor. The green curry was initially too sweet. I tried balancing it with fish sauce and chili but was observed and asked by Lin, who have it remade for me. However, it returned as red curry instead, presumably due to running out of green curry paste. It had a more balanced flavor, though. The fried sea bass with mango salad was slightly too sweet, but I chose not to request a replacement. Welcome Drinks: Available at Infiniti but had limited options without cocktails. Evening Cocktails: The canapé menu varied between the two days, with some dishes being quite good. On the first day, club staff prepared cocktails themselves, which weren't very well-executed. My wife and I each had 1-2 drinks. The second day, Omsin, a skilled bartender, returned and significantly improved the drink quality. My wife and I enjoyed a total of 6-7 drinks together. Children are allowed in the club lounge during evening cocktails, so some noise and activity from kids may be expected, especially if parents are not fully attentive. Beachfront: On clear days, you may be lucky enough to witness a stunning sunset resembling a large salted egg yolk. Special Commendation: I would like to commend Lin from Elements for noticing and responding to feedback about the food and the attentive service-minded staff in the club lounge 😍. Overall Impression: A truly enjoyable stay with a feeling of relaxation, largely thanks to the suite upgrade with a breathtaking view on the second day. I would...

InterContinental Pattaya Resort|- Junior Suite Oceanfront Sunset ||I’ve had the chance to stay here several times in different room types, but I never got around to writing a review. This time, I finally decided to share my experience.||This trip, I booked a Classic Garden View room and used a Confirmable Suite Upgrade to secure a Junior Suite Club Access Oceanfront Sunset – one of the few available at the resort.||The view was absolutely breathtaking, especially during sunset. The name of the room fits perfectly! Sitting on the balcony and watching the sun go down was simply magical. For another perspective, you can also enjoy the sunset at Infiniti Restaurant, which offers an equally stunning view.||In-room amenities featured Byredo products – luxurious, elegant, and beautifully scented.||Breakfast at Elements Restaurant|The buffet spread was very impressive, with a wide variety of options. They even had mango sticky rice, with the sweetest, most delightful mango! Still, my personal favorite was having breakfast at the Club Lounge.||- Club InterContinental Lounge -||Breakfast at the Club Lounge|This was the highlight of the stay! They served sparkling wine , and the breakfast menu has been recently upgraded – absolutely divine!|• Juicy, perfectly cooked steak served hot|• Flavorful dry rice porridge, no seasoning needed|• Spicy stir-fried shrimp with holy basil, generously portioned|• Crab omelet packed with real crab meat|This is what breakfast should be like.||Afternoon Tea (3:00 – 5:00 PM)|• A fine selection of TWG teas|• A variety of sweet and savory treats such as scones with cream and jam, cakes, mousse, macarons, and delicious sandwiches||Evening Cocktail (8:00 – 10:00 PM)|Although the timing felt a bit late (some guests might already be full), the cocktails were excellent! The bartenders were creative and offered plenty of unique drinks to try. The food consisted of canapés and light buffet items – perfect for nibbling while enjoying the drinks.||Amburaya Spa|If you love massages, don’t miss this! I had the aromatherapy massage – the therapist’s pressure was spot on, tailored exactly to my preference. It was so relaxing I almost fell asleep.||Swimming Pools|There are several pools, including a large main pool and a separate kids’ pool. The pools don’t directly overlook the ocean, though.||The resort also has a Kids’ Club.||Another highlight was trying the Premium Moo-Ka-Ta on the Beach – a private Thai-style BBQ set by the sea. You can choose from:|• Kurobuta pork|• Premium wagyu beef|• Fresh seafood|The experience of grilling while watching the sunset over the ocean was incredible. The breeze was gentle and relaxing, though after sunset, it’s best to eat quickly – mosquitoes come out!||⸻||Overall: InterContinental Pattaya Resort offers the perfect combination of atmosphere, comfort, excellent dining, and an outstanding spa. If you’re looking for a spacious room, stunning sea views, and a luxurious seaside retreat in Pattaya, this is the place...

Escape the hustle and bustle of Bangkok by finding a workplace and a relaxing stay not too far from the city. InterContinental Pattaya Resort is one of the most value-for-money and impressive options, whether you're on a workcation or staycation. Especially when staying in a room with Lounge Access rights, you can spend almost the entire day within the hotel without having to go anywhere, whether it's to relax, work, enjoy Afternoon Tea, or sip Evening Cocktails. Every time I've stayed here, I've never been less than impressed, whether checking in at the early hours of 3 AM, in the morning, or in the afternoon. The staff consistently deliver impressive service without fail. They remember guests' names, and record preferences and needs exceptionally well. Once, the breakfast menu at the Club Lounge didn't have steak, but I casually asked the staff there without expecting much. To my surprise, the next day, they had prepared it especially for me. Even when I came for breakfast later than the usual time, the food was still warm and prepared, and they even asked if I wanted more fruit since it was past the time they usually cleared the buffet line. The chef team was willing to prepare it even after the service time had ended. The cleanliness of the rooms here is impeccable, perfect even if you're just here to relax and not go out at all. I once had an issue where a corridor light bulb was out, and just by mentioning it to the staff at the Club Lounge, the maintenance team was ready to replace it immediately, no matter how late it was. This shows that customer safety and comfort are their top priority. During every stay, I want to express my gratitude to Khun Em, Khun Ja-O, Khun Palm, and Chef Vi for consistently enhancing my experience and leading the team to provide the most impressive service. Whenever I have the chance, I am certain that I will stay here again!

✅Positive Aspects: 1. The breakfast was amazing. Variety of options. 2. Friendly staff. 3. The resort was quiet, making it great for relaxation. ⚠️Areas for Improvement: 1. The resort appears worn out. It’s understandable that it may be old but better maintenance & renovations are needed. 2. Clearer communication and better staff training would help. We booked and paid for 3 people with breakfast, but the room had only 2 beds. We called the staff and they initially asked for an additional fee. Despite informing them that we had already booked and paid, they insisted on a 1500THB++ charge, sounded confused, said they would get back to us. Although they later called to apologize for the misinformation and confusion and eventually provided an extra bed, the back-and-forth communication was baffling. 3. Our room had a musty smell, and the phone smelled really bad. Good thing is the staff responded promptly with air freshener and cleaning, and offered to change our room, but the new room was on the 4th floor with no lift so we decided not to change. While we appreciated their efforts, the smell and cleanliness issues should be fixed. 4. Ambassador members suppose to get 2 bottles of mineral water in room but there’re none when we arrived. A staff brought only 1 bottle later in late afternoon. At this point, we didn’t bother calling them again for services we should’ve received. 5. The electricity went out a few times while we were in our room. Each outage was short, but it became annoying after it happened a few times. Overall : Though overall experience was not too bad, we found Intercontinental Pattaya to be below the usual standard compared with other Intercontinental hotels in other provinces.
