Gold Monkey sets the Gold standard of hospitality in Jomtien! Came here for a second time and the staff were again smiling and very welcoming. We felt really comfortable here and this time our Roast had generous portions of Pork, Beef, Chicken and Meatloaf. I forgot to mention in the earlier review that all of the cutlery comes wrapped in a plastic cover ensuring it is perfectly clean. The waitress even went so far as to take the cutlery out of the cover when our food arrived. 1st visit Came here on the recommendation of a couple of British guys. I have been frequenting the Gold Monkey for the last several months and I have not been disappointed. Just off of Jomtien Beach Road if you are stated at the roadside tables you can get a glimpse of the beach and an amazing sunset. They have daily specials that are reasonably priced at around 179 Baht and exceptionally good….far better than you’d expect for the price. I highly recommend their Beef Calzone and Lasagne specials. They have a good selection of Thai and western food on their menu and all of it well prepared and presented. I really enjoyed this great bar and diner. Professional management and staff that are making a concerted effort to improve what already seemed a great scene. A strong contingent of friendly expats seem to be regulars for a drink, chat and good food prepared on premises. The daily meal specials would make it really attractive for locals with generous dishes for an absolute bargain price. The rest of the menu and the drinks were also very reasonably priced.
