I found lots of review on google about this restaurant so I recently had the pleasure of dining at Govindam 100% pure vegetarian india restaurant. Its location is near bella express hotel which you can fin very easily on google map.
Let me start by saying that my experience at Govindam was absolutely delightful from start to finish. The restaurant boasts an extensive wide range of pure veg menu including jain food and vegan food also, but I opted for their set menu called "Govindam deluxe thali" which turned out to be a fantastic choice.
The Thali set menu at Govindam included a variety of dishes that left me completely satisfied.
It consisted of 2 Tandoori butter Roti, Paneer Butter Masala, Dal tadka , basmati plan Rice, Chana masala Green Salad, Pickle, Green Sauce. Thali quantity were more than generous, making it a perfect meal for a single person. Each dish was freshly cooked and bursting with flavors. The Roti was soft and perfectly complemented the rich and creamy Paneer Butter Masala. The Dal had a comforting and homely taste, while the Rice was cooked to perfection.
The inclusion of Green Salad added a refreshing element to the meal, and the pickle and green sauce provided a tangy and spicy kick.
The Paneer Vegetable dish was a highlight for me, with succulent paneer cooked in red Onion gravy . The combination of all these dishes resulted in a well-rounded and satisfying dining experience.
I must also commend the service at Govindam. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. When I asked for a recommendation, they suggested this set menu called "thali," and it turned out to be an excellent choice. The waitstaff ensured that my dining experience was seamless and enjoyable, and they were prompt in addressing any requests or queries I had.
Overall, I highly recommend Govindam to anyone seeking a pure vegetarian dining experience in Pattaya. The set menu provided an abundance of delicious and well-prepared dishes that were more than enough for a single person. The flavors were authentic and satisfying, and the service was top-notch. Whether you're a vegetarian or simply looking for a delightful meal, Govindam is definitely...
Read moreWe went to Pattaya recently in Nov’22. The restaurant and its team were all very kind and smiles while serving us during our stay in the locale. The hospitality was good and kid friendly environment. The hangout offers pure vegetarian food, though primarily north Indian, we also enjoyed having dosa and few other south Indian food, if asked in advance.
For the visitors…. Size and location: The restaurant is located within a few minutes’ walk from the Central festival mall and the beachfront. We found an accommodation that is walkable from this joint. This is a medium sized joint for now, hear from the owners about their expansion soon. Quality and package: The food was pretty decent, delicious and neatly served. There were various packages for lunch meal alone apart from a’la carte items…We didn’t try out starters or desserts (as we were tightly packed with local trips without time for rest during the day) but very confident and believe it would have tasted great as well. You also get Jain food, without onion and garlic, if you are undertaking this trip with a specific dietary restriction such as this. The food was stomach friendly and we didn’t have any trouble during and after the trip. Ambience and staff: The ambience was welcoming and cool with staff being very cordial and friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Price and extras: It was normal for an Indian restaurant in Thailand, approx..500 baht for a couple. The restaurant is also serving a delivery to nearby locations if requested in advance. Opens by 10 am~11 am and closes late in night. To the hosts: Request to plan for a small breakfast takeaway for ppl planning their trips early in the morning, esp. those who are strict vegetarians who do not dine in a veg + non-veg setup. Would be great if you could expand to a variety of other south Indian dishes as well Wish them best for expansion and also would place a request to include other varieties of south...
