Nachrichtentreff — Restaurant in Pattaya City

Got a strange vibe from the moment we walked in. All the staff were wearing face masks, which is very unusual in Pattaya. No warm greeting. I walked over to the beer fridge. No German beer and no big bottles of Thai beer. Only small bottles for 70 baht. Opened the menu. No sausages. At a "German" restaurant. No sausages. The food they did have was all priced around 300 baht. This is about 100-150 baht more than other nearby German restaurants. There were no Germans present here. Luckily we saw the writing on the wall and left after finishing our drinks. We found another lovely German restaurant down the street with German beers and Sausages and friendlier...

Tourist trap. The prices of Thai food are ridiculous. I ordered fried rice with a fried egg and it was 185 THB.... typically this dish is around 100 THB or less. The receipt said that a fried egg was 25 THB - these are typically 5-10 THB at any Thai restaurant. Crazy pricing!!

Portion size was ok, quality was ok, but its stupidly expensive, just a tourist trap, recommend not to support these type...

It's cheap and cheerful, the staff are pretty good on the whole. Though a couple of the young girls don't really seem too interested. However, that said, it's a good place the food is fairly good.
