So this place is apparently owned by the same person/people as December. They're right next door to each other. The menus are similar but the food is cooked differently. The staff couldn't really explain more than that. I'm guessing one bought the other out? Anyway, I've tried both, and both are good. Prices and portion sizes are similar. But i personally liked the food and service a bit more at December. Also, December feels like a bar, and Bazi feels like a cafe. On this most recent visit to Bazi, we tried the Schnitzel with paprika sauce. The Schnitzel was great. The sauce was a bit watery, and actually prefer paprika cream sauce, so I ordered a side of pepper sauce so I could mix them together, but the pepper sauce was also a bit watery, so neither sauce was impressive. We also got the mixed sausage platter with a side a curry ketchup. The best part of the platter was the Numürnberger sausages. The frankfurter and Bratwurst were just OK. The curry ketchup, however, was perfect. I also appreciate that they serve proper German style joghurt dressing on their salads. I was less impressed with the "fake vinegar" they serve. Come on, real vinegar isn't that expensive. Unlike other more traditional German restaurants in the area, they serve American mustard instead of German mustard, which is fine for me, but might annoy some...
Read moreWe have just got back from our first visit to Pattaya since Covid. Our favourite restaurant hadn’t survived the lockdowns, but we chanced upon the lovely Zum Bazi in a side street close to our hotel. It looked busy so we thought that we would give it a try. There is a wide range of western food catering for the mainly German clientele, but we ate from the Thai menu, which was fantastic. The restaurant is a perfect blend of German efficiency and quality together with fantastic Thai cooking and gracious service. The deep-fried fish with garlic was especially good. We were so impressed that we ended eating here on 3 nights during...

Not crowded at all, maybe because too many food options in Pattaya. Dare say, chef know how to cook steak properly. Good options of Western and Thai food. The pastries Apple Crumble Cake looked so tempting, but resisted due to diet restrictions. Will drop by again for a good...
