For a very long time we went to this restaurant(during 3 years) and were pleased with everything, but today I do not advise anyone to go to it! This year they raised prices there, and the service became Horrible! Dirty tablecloths or none at all! The waiters do not want to understand you, they all say Ok, and they do as they prefer! The waiter looks at how much you tip him left, and not for that happy you visit or not! It became a disgusting attitude to regular customers, (you don’t come for a couple of weeks and everything, you are almost like an empty place), there were several cases of poisoning among our friends! At Christmas, my reserved table was given to someone who came from the street 10 minutes earlier than I did, and the Christmas dinner they ordered was simply refused to serve me, telling me that it ended because I was late ... ... If you respect yourself and your partner / companion and do not want to lose your mood, in no case do not visit this place. Take care of your health, your mood...
Read moreOur hotel - Let's Hyde - is currently offering guests to order from the menu at Taverne nearby as their own restaurant is closed. I wasn't sure what to expect, as I don't know whether there is really a German involved in this operation, or like many other "German" places in the area, Thais are serving up cheap quality hot dogs and instant potatoes, etc. What we received, however, was absolutely top notch quality food. On the mixed sausage platter, all three types were scrumptious - especially the Nurnberger, which is usually my favorite type anyway, but even the Frankfurter, which I'm generally not overly fond of, was fantastic! Also surprising was how incredible the Sauerkraut was. We got a huge side order of it with the sausage platter, served warm, soooooooo good. We also ordered a small salami platter with bread, breakfast platter with bacon and spaghetti. Everything was perfect. Patttaya has a lot of German places to choose from and I've had some great ones, but Taverne is definitely...
Read moreIt does taste authentic with Thai ingredients!
As a Thai who has lived in Germany for a short time. I would say this is pretty simple German food already. Of course it would not be the same if you eat there since they use local sources. The staff also said the owner come from Germany and used to open another branch in Bangkok as well.
The restaurant is chill and comfortable. They serve all full course all day long. All main dishes provide a free salad. The food is good and marinated in western flavour, rather than Thai style.
Great atmosphere and no extra service...
