Update- When i complain hotel manager block me in social media. They only want how to earn money. Now my next step is i am going to court and turism ministry in thailand. Disappointing Experience at Baywalk Residence in Pattaya, Thailand
I recently had a disappointing stay at Baywalk Residence in Pattaya, Thailand, and I would like to share my honest review of the hotel.
Room Condition: Upon entering my room, I was immediately disappointed by its condition. The tiles in the room were broken, which not only looked unsightly but also posed a safety hazard. Additionally, I noticed cobwebs and spiders in various corners of the room, indicating a lack of cleanliness. The overall state of the room was far from satisfactory, and it was evident that proper maintenance was lacking.
Poor Customer Service: To make matters worse, when I raised my concerns with the hotel manager about the room condition, I was met with an unsatisfactory response. Instead of addressing the issues or offering a solution, the manager suggested that I pay an extra 1000 baht to be shifted to another room. It was clear that their primary concern was extracting more money from me rather than providing a satisfactory level of service. This blatant disregard for customer satisfaction left a bitter taste in my mouth.
Lack of Service Orientation: Throughout my stay, it became apparent that the hotel staff's focus was solely on monetary gain rather than ensuring a pleasant experience for guests. The lack of attention to detail and unwillingness to rectify the issues were indicative of a service-oriented mindset. It is disheartening to see a hotel prioritize profit over guest satisfaction.
Lackluster Facilities: Apart from the disappointing room condition, the hotel's facilities also left much to be desired. The fitness center was poorly maintained and had limited equipment available, which was a letdown for those seeking to maintain their fitness routine during their stay. The overall ambiance and upkeep of the hotel could definitely use improvement.
Conclusion: In conclusion, my experience at Baywalk Residence in Pattaya, Thailand, was highly disappointing. The poorly maintained room, lack of satisfactory customer service, and overall lackluster facilities left a negative impression. I would not recommend this hotel to fellow travelers who value cleanliness, good service, and value for...
Read moreMy partner and I stayed at the Baywalk from July 2 to July 6, 2018. It was an easy bus ride from Bangkok to Pattaya and an easy ride from the bus station to our hotel in one of the ubiquitous song tows (pickup trucks with two rows of seats in a covered area in back). I had booked the hotel on Agoda and it was simple and easy. Also, the room price was quite reasonable, especially considering the hotel location right across from the beach in the heart of Pattaya.
You never know if the room photos come anywhere close to the actual room but I was very pleasantly surprised. The room was ample and nicely furnished. It was a comfortable place to relax after being tourists during the day and a nice place to watch the FIFA World Cup on TV at night.
The room included a free breakfast which we had on all but one morning. Free was a good price for it. Minimal selection buffet with the cheapest items. The fried eggs were good, however. On the other hand, breakfast is not why we stayed there.
We were a short walk to restaurants and shopping. The weather was partially rainy and not conducive to laying on the beach but that didn't bother me. I don't do relaxation well and laying on the beach under an umbrella and drinking for hours is not my idea of a good time, but maybe it is yours so take my opinion for what it is.
There is one episode I want to mention. One evening, we were going to dinner and it was raining quite hard. This seldom lasts long in Thailand so we got comfortable in the lobby lounge and read magazines for 20 minutes or so then walked a few blocks to the restaurant. Almost as soon as we got our food, I noticed that I didn't have my shoulder bag with my wallet (cash, credit cards, etc.) and passport. I was in a minor panic. My partner went back to the hotel where the doorman/concierge had noticed the bag and had secured it for me. Disaster was averted and it earned him a nice tip and an effusive thank you. Great staff all around, friendly and helpful.
Should we return to Pattaya, the Baywalk Residence will definitely be...
Read moreBaywalk Residence Pattaya: Location, location, location! This residence could not be better situated – across the road from the beach, close to convenience stores, the beach, the baht bus (aka songthaew) route, the bustling nightlife (Walking Street) etc. The view across the sea while enjoying the buffet breakfast cannot be beat. The rooms are comfortable, large and clean and the bed is firm. We had a balcony with table and chairs, though the air conditioned room seemed like the better option to unwind in after a long, humid day! Our spacious bathroom came with a toilet sprayer. The only fault we found here was the shower water pressure could be improved. The staff were wonderful and friendly. The pool was refreshing and clean. You will not just keep returning to Pattaya, you will re-book this very accommodation on your next visit… definitely! Most recent stay end December 2024: Fantastic location across the street from the beach. The lobby and layout of this hotel all give a relaxed feeling. As always, our room was spacious, the bed was firm, linen and towels prestine. The kettle, safe deposit box, fridge and the aircon were all working great. The hairdryer and the balcony an added bonus. The WiFi signal was good. Gym is small but adequate with air conditioning. The pool on the rooftop is sparkling and neat. Towels must be signed for and returned 7 floors down at reception. The staff doing the housecleaning were wonderful, the reception was friendly. We did not take up the breakfast option this time around, because there are better eating options on wonderful Pattaya, but the view from the breakfast area overlooking the morning beach bustle of setting up tents and chairs and watching the water sports is awesome. What could be improved or amended: the bath tap did not work. The shower pressure was weak and the curtain positioning made it impossible for the floor to remain dry. We have stayed here many times in the past and will continue to do so...
