Jai Restaurant — Restaurant in Phang-nga Province

Nothing for us. Curry was so-so, nothing special, but fried cashew nut with chicken was really bad. It contained also a thai basil. After 7 months in Thailand and many of 'cashew nut' dishes it was the first time like this. We didn't like this version at all. Moreover we asked for spicy, of course it was not spicy. Fried pineapple came already in sauce so by the time we finished our main dishes it was already mashy, not crunchy, not good. The food here is not very authentic. It is a restaurant for 'western people', maybe good for people enjoying their 2-3 weeks vacation, but not for people travelling across the country and eating real thai food. Wow, wow wow We ordered everything spicy, so nothing fails the taste test. The most amazing omelette with cheese I have seen or tasted, the outer layer was just crispy crunch. Lisa dumpling(gyozo) spectacular, spicy duck curry, just to die for. Passionfruit shake simply devine. We haven't got the bill yet, but who cares. A must visit, with lovely staff.... Great and fast service with a smile. Might not sound like an issue but fresh watermelon juice is put in the blender without seeds unlike anywhere else I've experienced in the country. Conveniently located on the main road...
