Orchid Restaurant — Restaurant in Phang-nga Province

As a guest in the "the waters" hotel, the orchid restaurant is one of the free alternatives for dinner. A driver took us there at a time we could choose. Very convenient! The entrance is not easy to spot since you have to enter through the leaf hotel. The food tasted amazing! I had a spicy soup and a sweet and sour fish dish. Extremely good both. The dessert options are not really Thai in my opinion, but tasty. (strawberry ice cream or fruits). There is also a western menu option. In addition, in the happy hour, cocktails are only 99THB. They were tasty and not strong. However, the only downside was that we felt not really wanted there. Our first waiter looked absolutely unhappy to talk to us. Very strange... Other than that, I can only recommend the food especially when Oi are guest in one of the hotels that have this cooperation with...

We ordered BBQ fish with butter & lemon sauce ( normally they provided 3 sauces along with this dish but we juat wanted one) and spicy salad. The spicy salad with deep-fried seafood was tasty. The fish was okay.

The lady who took our order was nice and effective. The owner also walked around to talk to clients which was nice.

However, most waiters didn't really look after customers well. They were busy inside while customers were outside. Consequently some customers left and for my table I needed to speak loudly before getting the attention.

Lovely little restaurant on the main strip in Khao Lak. Huge variety of food available, Thai Classics, Pizza, Pasta, burgers etc. Something to suit even the fussiest eaters. Everything was good value but the Thai dishes seemed very cheap, especially considering how tasty they were. Service can be a bit slow but the waitresses were all lovely. We ate here twice.
