We visited Khaolak Country Club for dinner and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was prompt and friendly.
We ordered a variety of dishes to share, including Thai green curry, lasagna, tempura prawns, Alfredo pasta, spring rolls, chicken wings, and garlic cheese bread. Every dish came out in a timely manner, perfectly cooked and beautifully presented.
Highlights:
Alfredo Pasta: This was a standout โ creamy, rich, and full of flavor. Easily one of the best we've had in a long time.
Thai Green Curry: Packed with prawns and just the right level of spice. Full of authentic Thai flavor โ a must-try!
Lasagna: Surprisingly good! Tasted like a home-cooked Italian dish, with plenty of garlic which we loved.
Garlic Cheese Bread: Warm, cheesy, and garlicky โ exactly how it should be.
Tempura Prawns, Spring Rolls & Chicken Wings: All great for sharing and nicely cooked with crispy textures.
To drink, we had a Galaxy, a Strawberry Daiquiri, and a Bacardi and Coke. The cocktails were refreshing and well-balanced.
The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was relaxed and welcoming. Staff were attentive without being intrusive, and everything came out quickly without feeling rushed.
Highly recommend Khaolak Country Club if you're in the area โ excellent food, great service, and a lovely setting to...
ย ย ย Read moreWe ordered 5 expensive steak dishes, one was wrong. Tenderloin steak and mash was served instead of T bone and fried potatoes. When the mistake was highlighted the waiter tried to deny it was wrong. After holding firm the T bone was promised with a 20 minute wait. After 10 minutes the original tenderloin was returned and I was asked if I could eat that instead. I refused and was told the T bone would now take 20 minutes, making the wait 30 minutes. I felt insulted that I was asked to eat the meal I did not order to save the restaurant money. On complaining the manager was not happy. My family stopped eating, in principle on my behalf. The owner was called after we were threatened with the police as my family did not want to eat. The owner was called who said we should pay for the whole meal. The experience was ruined and we were insulted by being told to eat a meal that was not ordered. The owner refused to speak to us. We offered to pay for half the meal but this was refused. The police arrived and our Thai friends explained what had happened to the police officer. After much arguing it was clear the owner was more interested in a piece of meat than good customer service or reputation. The owner was sarcastic and demeaning. She would not budge, ordered us to pay for uneaten meals and we ended up making a statement at the local police...

We were there for a dinner as a family, my wife and I ordered cocktails, with my daughters ordering Chocolate Frappes. They were provided with a Choco Drink, which has about 3 shots of alcohol in it! The drinks look completely different. We only became aware when the girls complained that they didn't taste right, they had had a few mouthfuls by this stage. We were there on a Sunday night, there was no 'Manager" as such, only a senior waiter, who when advised basically said "oh no" but that was the only response and no further action. The server replaced the drinks as soon as he was made aware and was apologetic, but there was no care or compensation from the restaurant/senior staff. This was not our first time, but our 3rd time at the restaurant. The food and atmosphere here are really good. However, I can't condone the serving of alcohol to minors (even accidentally), and the lack of response from senior staff on the night was...
