Red Chilli Restaurant Khaolak — Restaurant in Phang-nga Province

We waited for the food 1 hour and 15 minutes. The food was alright but the service, oh the service was a nightmare. First, about 30 minutes later we thought that our food arrived. It was shrimps and we didn't order any seafood. Second time when they came with food to our table, it was shrimps again we told the staff again that we didn't order any seafood. Third time with the food arriving, you guessed it shrimps. This happened 2 times afterwards. Our son got the food about a hour in and the rest of us got it about a quarter of an hour later. Terrible service, would give 0 stars if I could definitely...

We arrived at 8:45pm and ordered bbq barracuda and steamed crab after specifically asking if the fish goes on the bbq. They spent ages messing around with some bbq coals while another guest complained twice that their order was taking too long. I think the eventually left without receiving anything.

In any case, the barracuda did not touch the grill. It was very tough and obviously reheated. The crab was warm in parts and other parts cold. Not freshly steamed. Presentation of both was good, hence the 2nd star.

Awful. My guess is that the bbq cook had already gone home...

WORST BIRYANI I’VE EVER TRIED TO EAT! Ordered mutton biryani, was served a wet mutton curry dish. They took it back and, a suspiciously short time later the same dish mixed up with soggy rice, was brought back. It was disgusting. There wasn’t much mutton, but quite a few bones which don’t feature in a biryani. I would have been embarrassed to serve that if I worked there. We live in Phuket and travel around Thailand a lot at the weekends and we will be back in Khao Lak, but we certainly won’t be visiting this...
