-The total bill came to 4,500 baht (2 premium sets, 1 kimchi soup, 1 sashimi set, 1 rib pork, 2 beef dishes, and 3 bowls of steamed rice, water and 1 singha beer). However, I think around 3,500 baht would have been more than enough, since I also had to take leftover food home. -The grilled meat and sashimi were very delicious, but the kimchi soup was really fishy. The meat in the soup was all fat, and even now I still feel uncomfortable and almost nauseous when I think about it. If you order a set, it has to match the number of guests, with each set meant for two people. So if you go as four, you must order two sets at the same price. I went with three adults and one 3-year-old child (the child also enjoyed eating wagyu beef and had about 150g).
-The restaurant was crowded, but there were too few staff members. They all looked very busy, yet still couldn’t serve customers...
Read moreWhen I entered the restaurant, I asked a staff member if there was a table available for two. The staff didn’t answer my question but turned to chat with a colleague instead. So, I stood waiting at the entrance until another staff member came to speak with me, and then I asked again if there was a table for two. That’s when I finally got a table.
If you want to get the dishes shown on the cover/menu photos, you have to order at least two sets, which means you end up paying double. I don’t mind the price itself, but I do have an issue with the fact that when paying by credit card they charge an extra 3%, yet there was no sign or notice about this—I looked around carefully.
The staff also didn’t grill the vegetables that were left on the tray for me, so I’m not sure if they were reused or thrown away. The day I went, the place was quite crowded. The taste of the...
Read moreThe service was great. The vibe of the place was cool. The sides were good. But let’s face it, you come here for the beef. Sooo, I would say that you should save your money for another place. The beef was mediocre. Anyone that says the beef here is great, probably has either never had beef or theyre use to Thai beef or Australian beef, both in my opinion are subpar. I’ve never had beef so marbled be so chewy and tough. Yes, the cuts play a role, but even for those specific cuts, the meat here was unexpectedly even tougher and chewier than normal for lower grade. Pork wasn’t anything to write home about either. I’m sorry, but not worth the $ for the amount you get and quality of it. They do offer a free drink if you write a review, which might contribute to so many 5 stars, plus the fact that not many Thais are familiar...
