My wife and daughter visited this Swensen’s branch this afternoon, and the experience was extremely disappointing due to the shockingly rude service.

First, when my wife politely asked the male manager if there were any seats with better ventilation—since the shop felt hot and stuffy—he showed zero acknowledgment. No greeting, no response, no basic courtesy. Instead, he abruptly placed the menu on the table in a dismissive manner and walked away, which felt incredibly disrespectful.

Then, when my daughter’s balloon suddenly popped with a loud boom, the same manager and nearby staff stared at her with cold, frowning faces. Rather than showing understanding or concern, their unfriendly expressions made our little girl feel uncomfortable and embarrassed. That kind of reaction toward a child is simply unacceptable.

For a brand as well-known as Swensen’s, it’s truly a shame to see such poor management. It reflects a deeper issue—when a brand starts decaying, it often begins with careless leadership and weak staff training. Running a business without heart, especially in the service sector, is a recipe for decline. What a pity and what a waste of a good name.

We will never return to this branch again, and we’ll be sharing this experience with our network.
