Food was OK and service was also just ok. I read other reviews that said service was so nice and food was outstanding. We didn't experience that. Food was very slow to come out. I could have finished my breakfast before the next plate arrived. There were four of us. Everything came out very slowly. Most of the staff was smiley and happy, but one waitress asked me in English if I was Thai (I look Thai, but am not), then asked if my wife is Thai (she is), and then she gave her the nastiest look. Rolled her eyes and walked away with a grunt. No idea what that was about. She seemed unhappy that I was speaking English and broken Thai while I suppose my wife could have handled it all in fluent Thai. I don't know, but it was a lot of attitude that the wild table noticed. Not going back, but I'm sure the health conscious foreigners (that clearly are not Thai) and rich Thais in the area (that clearly speak Thai) will be fine. Just be sure to double check the desserts before you order. Our lemon meringue from the case came out with dried and cracked meringue... It was clearly sitting in the fridge...
Read moreI just bought a loaf of banana bread and paid the menu price. They asked me if I wanted them to slice it and I said yes. 10 minutes later they told me that since they sliced it they would have to charge me for the individual pieces instead of the loaf. This substantially raised the price of the loaf by 250 THB. The food here is good but the switch in the pricing is not. Plus the manager would not come out and speak with me. Instead they kept on sending out an employee while they were in the back.
In response to the owner, it was NOT explained to me like this at all. $14 for a loaf of banana bread seemed like a stretch but to then switch it and say it is actually $21 is not ok in my book. Your place, your prices, but the situation was handled poorly and your manager did...
Read moreI had such a lovely breakfast at this coffee shop in Ekamai. I ordered the scrambled eggs with salmon, and wow—it was absolutely delicious! The portion was generous, the flavors were so fresh and balanced, and even the coffee was excellent. You can really tell that everything is made with care—from the beautifully presented plates to the elegant cutlery and cozy, inviting atmosphere. What makes this place even more special is their mission: they support and employ individuals with Down Syndrome, and you can truly feel the kindness and respect in the way the team works. It’s more than just a coffee shop—it’s a space with heart. I’ll definitely be going back, not just for the amazing food, but to continue supporting a business with such a beautiful purpose. Highly...
