Caruso — Restaurant in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

We went one night last week to enjoy a tasty Carbonara and the best pizza in Hua Hin..like in previous year .. This time unfortunately we waited 1h 30 min for a overcooked carbonara after my wife received the pizza 40 minutes before me.. raw pizza.. I was so disappointed and upset as also the guy embarrassed make usa understand that they forgot my order as I saw another customer eating pasta on another table... we order a lumoncino and an amaretto to try to digest this unbelievable dinner.. Both was was warm..cannot drink a limoncello warm.. Also no one ask if maybe the cold pizza that was on table can be substitute with a new warm one.. The staff anyway was nice ..but no one comes even to see why we were there waiting.. after ask twice for my pasta.. At third time the guy understand and get back to me saying "5 minutes "... after 13min pasta comes.. But my hungry left with the wind... Surprised about this dinner as also no one apologies and maybe try to offer an liqueur to us.. Anyway atmosphere was warm as usual ... but can't feel Italian...

We ordered two pizzas: one with anchovies and one without. First the one with anchovies came and I found a hair in it, notified the staff and they took it back and made us a new one. However, unlike most restaurants, they did not apologize for the incident and didn't offer a discount. We let this slide. The remade pizza came and there were no anchovies on there. We didn't bother to call the staff again because we were hungry. Also ordered three lasagnas which were pretty good but could be better considering the price. The pizzas were too thin, I don't know, maybe it's the style of pizza. The dough felt like it was stale. Not enough cheese. The pizza sauce wasn't good. Not worth 300 baht at all. Do not recommend to waste time at this place. Maybe other menus are good or maybe this was...

I think the last time I ate at Caruso was before the pandemic. I am glad that I dropped by for dinner again.

I noticed that they have expanded with an air conditioned room. Previously, seating was in a rather cramped open air area.

I ordered the Pizza Marinara - Tomato Sauce, Cheese and a lot of Garlic - it was thin and crispy and quite delicious.

The waitress was professional and friendly.

The atmosphere in the air conditioned dining room was nice. It's large enough that even with other customers, the noise level isn't too loud.
