We visited this restaurant yesterday relying on reviews and left really disappointed - all three dishes we've ordered there tasted much worse than the same ones we've tried in other and much more modest places in Thailand. Coconut soup with shrimps was unusually sour and had just one piece of ginger in it and no lemongrass at all - all the condiments that make it tasty. Steamed fish with ginger was obviously cooked without any ginger and served with a little bit of it on top, and therefore lacked any taste. Shrimps with garlic and pepper were probably cooked before and had no taste of garlic or pepper, or even salt - some fried garlic was sprinkled over the dish and didn't add to the taste. All of this was a bit overpriced - that was the most we've spent on a restaurant in Thailand in our two-week holiday around the country. We were under the impression that the place heavily cuts on ingredients and is aimed at foreigners who have little experience of regional cuisine. If you're on vacation and want to experience PROPER taste of Thai food I would recommend to go somewhere else for that - the only thing worth going there for is seaview, if you are lucky enough to be seated anywhere close to the water, which you...
Read moreSo, we went at Ketsarin restaurant last night hoping for another awesome thai food experience, but..wasn't.. I love Tom Yum and i ordered. Was the worst soup i ever tasted,i just couldn't eat it. I asked the lady who served us to do something with the soup and she came after 10 minutes with the same one, just a little coconut milk added. Couldn't eat it! Also i ordered a deep fried snapper that i used to order in Night Market and there was perfect but here at Ketsarin there was something not fresh in it. I had the worst night ever feeling bad with the stomack and more..(that put me on the pills) Anyway, avoid this restaurant if you want to be healthy and good. Also, like a sugestion i reccomand the Sailom restaurant right near Intercontinental hotel( can walk on...
Read moreKetsarin Restaurant is located in a quiet area with a fantastic view, fresh ocean air, and the soothing sound of waves. It’s an excellent spot to relax and enjoy lunch with friends. I chose this restaurant because the prices seemed reasonable, and overall, they were fair, making dining here enjoyable.
The dishes looked appetizing when they arrived, but unfortunately, the prawns were not fresh and appeared questionable. We requested the staff to taste the prawns in the pineapple fried rice, and while they agreed to replace it, the new dish had the same issue – the prawns were still not fresh.
While I wouldn’t recommend this place for seafood, I still love the ambiance and location, making it worth visiting for the atmosphere rather than...
