I have eaten at Pizza Hut in Bangkok at the MBK Center at least a half dozen time and it has always been good. When I saw that Pizza Hut had opened in Hua Hin I went there with my Thai girlfriend to try it out.
I ordered one Pepperoni pizza, and a Bacon pizza. The pizza was brought to the table and I took a slice of the pepperoni and took a bite, it was awful, I looked at my girlfriend and said no, this isn't right. I picked up a slice of the bacon, it was equally horrible.
I have tasted something like this from a street vendor, my girlfriend said that it is “Thai Style” pizza, which means that it has a layer of something like thousand island salad dressing under the cheese and toppings. Neither my girlfriend or myself care for this kind of pizza.
We each tried one bite of each pizza and that was enough for us, I just couldn't stomach it no matter how hungry I was. We got up and left the remainder of the pizza there. Someone asked us if we wanted it packed up so we could take it home, we declined. Obviously we won't be going back and if you are not a fan of “Thai Style” pizza you should probably avoid this place.
The restaurant is setup like a fast food place where the menu is at the order counter, you order and take a seat and the pizza will be delivered to your table.
The restaurant was clean and the employees were friendly, it's just a mystery to my why they would serve...
Read moreI think it was in early 2022 that Pizza Hut opened in Hua Hin town on Petchkasem Road across the street from Wat Hua Hin.
Although there are many places to get a really good wood fired pizza in Hua Hin, I suppose Pizza Hut can occupy a place in the highly commercial, chain pizza restaurant space along with Pizza Company and Scoozi. But Pizza Hut would come in last place.
I wandered into Pizza Hut recently around lunchtime. I was the only customer, so ordering at the cash register counter went really fast. The employees were very professional and polite.
There was a "buy one, get one" promotion going on so I got a medium pepperoni pan pizza and a medium pepperoni thin and crispy pizza. I ordered a drink from the refillable soda machine. The total price was around 330 Baht.
Wow! Shrinkflation! The pizzas are a very small "medium" and the ingredients taste cheap and low quality. The taste of the bread and sauce is nothing like Pizza Hut in the USA. There is not enough pepperoni on the pizza!
I briefly considered ordering some chicken wings, but I decided against it.
Basically, the pizza here is substandared even compared to the Pizza Company. Yikes!
Still, the employees seemed OK and polite.
The atmosphere isn't thrilling but the place was clean when I visited. I sat in one of the booths by the window.
I don't think I need to...
Read moreThis location is on a busy street, so if you are walking you should use a crosswalk. The restaurant is very clean. There are about 6 or 7 medium size seating areas within the restaurant. The employees are polite. Every order is made fresh, so depending on how busy it is you may have to wait. I think it is worth it. Although the pizzas are a bit smaller than we are used to in the US, the quality is great. I don’t like alot of sauce and they don’t use very much. I also like alot of cheese and they are generous on cheese here in Thailand- I love it. I have been to multiple locations and the quality is consistent. There was a buy one get one free promo so two medium pizzas with the promo cost me 299 baht. Medium size pizza is about 8-9 inches. Great value, quality and...
