Service is not great. The receptionist always gave a dirty look like she didn't care, even when I needed help. Most of the time you just see the staff on their phones. I arrived here in the early morning hours from a bus and was able to check-in. There's 24/hr front desk here. The male receptionist was super nice and friendly. The room I got was spacious, but it was dirty and moldy. The bed is clean and comfortable, however. The a/c is right above the bed and is loud. I woke up with a sore throat and runny nose in the morning. I am short and the shower was way too short for me and didn't extend very well. I had to bend down if i didn't extend it. There was also no shower curtain so water got everywhere. There was a funky smell coming from the drain as well. I got free water and booked my stay with breakfast included. I personally don't think breakfast is worth it. You only get 2 pieces of toast and everything else on that menu you can find for cheaper. There's not even fruit. One day i went to breakfast and when I came back the room was made up even though I didn't put the sign out. That made me a bit uncomfortable. They did clean the floor and put an air freshener in the bathroom, which I thought should have been done before. The location to this place is great though! The closest 7/11 is to the left. There is a night market that is also near the 7/11. It's a straight shot to the beach once you get on the main road and there are many places to rent a motorbike near the beach. There is no laundry service at the hotel or nearby. I had a hard time finding one and the ones I saw were far away and for 70 baht/kg.

Convenient place to stay. I choose this hotel because of the location is just 300metres from train station. I travel solo, there's private single bedroom available. Assigned to the highest floor (3rd floor) room 1-3 at the side building. I'm happy that I feel strong enough to climb the staircases everyday. The room and attached bathroom is clean. They do not provide amenities like kettle and hairdryer. If you need hot water you can ask from the restaurant at the lobby. Just that I'm concern about the safety of the hotel door lock, there's a latch but it is not working. I hope they can add extra lock for safety. This hotel is along the route of local mini bus (songthaew) you can just wave your arm to stop the bus at the hotel roadside going Market Village and Khao Takiab. Local market and beach is just within 10mins walking distance. I had my free breakfast 3 days straight staying here. The open dining and lounge area is lovely. Nice to sit for watching the street. The receptionist and staff they look not friendly at first but they actually ok when you get familiar with them.

Good for a lay over 1 night if you don't require reliable internet. For myself and many other DNs this is a must. Reception was cold and not very helpful...otherwise the room was sufficient but the towels straight out of county jail, rough and thread bare. A shame really as the location is walking distance to the weekend night market. I dis manage to find blazing high speed across the street at the Café *see my other review. Chaba Chalet I'm sure was something at one time but non fussed services, wear and tear, rough sand paper towels and slow sporadic internet due to complicated log in means I won't be back especially with so many other choices. I wish them best and understand the difficulties independent hoteliers face post pandemic. A shame really.

For a solo traveller I booked the Chaba Chalet hotel single room for 4 nights. Ahead of time I emailed enquiring about a late arrival and received an almost immediate response answering my questions! I arrived late around midnight and the man at the front desk was so nice and spoke fantastic English, he quickly scanned my passport gave me my key and showed me to my room.My room was small but very clean and tidy with a large window overlooking the mountains. The air conditioner, bathroom, bed, and overall interior of the room seemed very new and revamped and for the price I paid I was very impressed! There is daily water provided and a mini fridge. The bed is a single bed but very comfortable. The location if this hotel is perfect, about 2 minutes walk from the train station or night market and only about a 10 minute walk to the beach. The staff were all kind, and if you want it there is the option of breakfast in the mornings. There is also a large lobby area at the entrance of the hotel with lots of tables and chairs for relaxing, working, studying, dining etc. For solo travelling or travelling in general on a budget I would rate this place 5/5 it's perfect. Overall super impressed with Chaba Chalet and will definitely be...

Yesterday I checked in at room 105, now I'm laying at Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin.||Was going in to the shower and while opening the tap I got electric shock. Tried to close the running water but never should have done that. Luckily I just had one foot inside the tub and could get out without any further electroshocks.|Had to run for the reception for help. Wearing rubber soled sandals she managed to stop the water.||I immidiately warned fellow travel er friend in next door room from entering the shower.||Suggested change of room was not an option. Feared for my life and wanted help to find other accomondations. No help at all. Only thing that was said was "No refund" since leaving the room booked though Agoda.|The receptionist got the manager on the phone and said they will refund.|Still no help finding another and safe place to stay.||Notified the tourist Police about this situation as I would not see others experience same problems with even fatal outcome.||I asked what they will do if next guest dies in the shower. "Sorry sorry" was the reply.||This hotel is cheap, but you still would expect they are taking the safety of their guest serious.||I for sure are not certain about their safety standards. Keep away if you...
