I like what the owners of Satan's Grill are trying to do here and I had hoped to be able to attend the one year anniversary recently. I am sorry I missed it.
During the past year I visited Satan's Grill maybe two times. As I was out partying, my memories are a bit fuzzy and I definitely forgot to take photos. I think on one visit I had a Cheeseburger...
Today, I tried the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich with an order of onion rings and a can of Coke Zero. The Cheesesteak sandwich was 329 Baht, the onion rings were 70 Baht and the Coke was 35 Baht. There's a 2% service charge, so my bill was 443 Baht.
The 8 inch sandwich was OK; it's just thin steak, cheese whiz and mayonnaise on a toasted 8 inch roll. I wasn't aware of any extra toppings. The friendly server gave me a small container of ketchup for my onion rings and I asked for some mustard and receved it.
The onion rings were nice too - freshly deep fried and crispy/crunchy. They are served in a paper cup that seems to be intended for ice cream use. I don't know why I noticed this detail; maybe I was too sober.
To be honest, I don't think the Philly Cheesesteak is a great value for money. I did remember to snap some photos of my meal. Maybe in the recent past before price inflation, the sandwich had more meat...
The two nice ladies working there were friendly and professional. My food was prepared and served quickly. The atmosphere and ambiance is not exciting as the facility is the size of a small shack.
Next time, I will decamp to a nearby bar and bring my food there. I want to try the burgers and the sausage sandwiches in the future.
In conclusion, Satan's Grill is a good addition to Hua Hin and Soi 80. Kudos for doing business for a year already and let's hope the high season brings...
Read moreDevilicious New York Prime French dip au jus !!! Overloaded with tender & flavourful high quality beef, diced sauteed onions and a hard crust/ soft belly sub roll , the perfect sandwich ! Thanks to Liann & Wendy the owners of this Gem on Soi 80 & they have their own parking lot off street next to their restaurant. The Devil is in the details , fresh, finest, flavourful and I doubled up on the au jus !! One could make two meals out of one sandwich yet I wolfed down the entire sub !! Beverages galore , I missed seeing they offer onion rings so a return trip or many is in the offing ! They have Philly Cheesesteaks, french dips, bratwurst, cheeseburgers you name it. Just throw a dart 🎯 at their menu and I would wager you can't go wrong ! After 4 months in Hua Hin last year I had revisited perhaps 5 of 40 or 50 restaurants that were outstanding , this year I will predict Satan's Grill will have me four times over a shorter one month stay. They rank high ! After all I just made a deal with the Devil 😈 (😂)/////2 Days later ; Satan's Girls @ Satan's Grill did not disappoint 😊 , Gigi & I & our furry family member Gawow ( a 7kg Shih-tzu ) / Doggie friendly restaurant shop had a loaded Philly cheesesteak & a ( not skimpy-wimpy ) portioned Mammoth 🦣 bacon cheeseburger. Side of onion rings ✅, plus a neighbour Kao gan delivered Gigi's " Som Tom " . Heavenly blissed @ Satan's Grill, hey , let's do...
Read moreI had a hot pastrami sandwich and an order of fries. You know what? Those fries are pretty indistinguishable from McD’s fries. Very, very delicious! The hot pastrami sandwich was pretty good too. They were out of pickles on the day I went. It would have been a nice accompaniment to the sandwich, but I thoroughly enjoyed it anyways. I will definitely return to try out the rest of the menu.
Update-06/15: I went and tried their Philly cheesesteak. Great flavor all around. The meat, I think, was flank steak, which made it a little more chewy than I would have liked, but everything else was perfect. Next time I will have the cook add onions. It would have been a cherry on top to add mushrooms and peppers, but I ain’t complaining too hard. Oh, and the fries were fricking awesome…again!
Update 07/02: just finished a mushroom cheesesteak with grilled onions added. Pretty much perfection. Again, the fries are still unbelievable. Next time I have to step out of my zone and try their onion rings. Very...
