The view from this roof is absolutely amazing, and the music being played by the DJ was great for the ambience, and it's these two things that prevent me giving 1 star.
I got to the hotel early, before check-in to make sure I could reserve a nice edge-side seat at the rooftop bar for dinner so I could watch the sunset. I was told no reservations and just to walk in. So I did that, and the good seats were all reserved. When I made a comment to the staff she either didn't understand or just decided to ignore it.
Next, the food was terrible. I ordered a combo set with fried calamari, some other fish dish and soft shelled crab. Some of the calamari was not cooked and as close to liquid as squid can get, and the rest of the food simply wasn't worth eating. KFC would have been preferable.
Finally, I went here as I was told that I would receive 20% off as an IHG member, but at the time of the bill was told this does not apply to the combo or alcoholic drinks - i.e. everything I purchased. Ended up being almost $50 for a watered down Pina colada and 3x barely edible plates of food. It wasn't as if the staff member was unaware of the membership either, as when the bill came I was told this without mentioning anything. It would have been cheaper to order the 3 dishes separately. This should have been mentioned to me at the time of ordering.
Such a shame, because the setting is incredible. But poor service and terrible food brings this down to 2 stars for me, and I would come back just for the view, music, and absolutely...
Read moreWe entered after making a reservation in advance for 7:30 p.m. The outdoor terrace tables were full, so we waited while ordering menu, but there was an empty seat, so the staff kindly guided us.
I think there are about 10 tables on the outdoor terrace and 15 tables inside. Even though we visited on a weekday, there were many customers. I suggest you to make a reservation first.
It felt like a bar where you can have a light meal rather than a restaurant. (sushi roll, hamburger, and pizza etc,..) Even though there were many customers, the serving time was quick and the taste was good.
The atmosphere was nice as there was someone DJing live and the lighting was slightly dark.
All of the serving staff were friendly and even took pictures with the night view in the background.
We ordered wine, and it wasn't bad value for money considering the retail price.
We played in the water park all day and end the day with a pleasant meal and drink in a place with a beautiful view.
I recommend a...
Read moreThe atmosphere is superb and stunning, particularly when illuminated by fireworks. Having your loved one(s) with you on a breezy day during sunset, sipping some drinks sounds so wonderful, doesn't it? Or, if you prefer to have adrenaline pumped into your bloodstream, just go dance on the glass panel, which could make your heart stop, especially if you are afraid of heights like me! The service is extraordinary, as it should be, considering this restaurant is located in a five-star hotel like Holiday Inn. However, that's it. When it comes to the food, it's quite disappointing. The food selections are limited, and the quality doesn't meet expectations. Moreover, the prices tend to be on the high side- too pricey, in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind paying more if it's worth my money. But considering the food options and quality, the drinks should be the only thing you can really enjoy along with the atmosphere. However, the price tags of the drinks could easily...
