La Birra Bistro Beer & Wine Bar — Restaurant in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

My visit to La Birra Bistro was a mixed bag. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The drinks were reasonably priced, but the food leaned towards the higher side, which is understandable for a bar setting.

The culinary journey was a delight; the deep-fried fish, basil seafood, mango salad, and chicken wing soup were all tantalizingly spicy and delicious. However, the joy was hindered by the small plates that left us wishing for larger portions.

Great food, drink and service. Our evening was ruined by 1 gentlemen that ordered 1 beer, took countless pictures of his precious imported bottle of beer including pics of the pour. Next he proceeded to smoke cigar right next to our table the entire time we were eating our dinner (confirmed we were in non smoking area with staff). Eventually the manager/owner asked the cigar smoker to move, but only after my wife and I had already closed our bill and moved to another table to finish our last few sips of beer. Have been here several times in the past and really like La Birra, just had bad experience tonight. Hopefully the staff to be on look out for this type of thing...

Four stars based on four visits in January, with good and reasonable food, good drinks and great music. Quick and nice service, just smiles all around. But after the first three visits, having paid with my credit card, I discovered that somebody had made two unauthorized purchases using this card. Since I had used this card nowhere else during my stay in Thailand, I have to conclude that somebody at La Birra had skimmed it when they took it to the back room to make up the bill. I promptly had the card shut down and fortunately had the purchases cancelled, so I lost nothing. But in other words, pay by cash and don't let the otherwise nice people at La Birra...
