The two stars are only really there as there is potential for this place to be better. We were actually enjoying our night here to begin with. The DJ was great, the bartenders were entertaining and provided quick service, and the waitors and waitresses were also very attentive.
Firstly, some of the drinks were overpriced, we ordered a shooter set, and these didn't really taste like there was much alcohol in them. Another thing we had noticed, which was what created the initial discomfort amongst my group was that we noticed one of the waitresses being offered a shot from a customer, and what seemed like the bar manager or some kind of higher up, telling her to take it. This kind of ruined our view on the place as one, I don't think staff should really be drinking while on the job, let alone pressured to drink on the job if they don't want to. Secondly, it's also a case of health and safety, I think you're putting your staff at risk by allowing them to drink alcohol as it just takes one bad person to potentially spike the drink. If someone offers you a drink, then it should be available for staff to claim later when off shift (if they want to accept it). It was just really strange for us to witness as the waitress seemed visually uncomfortable after the experience.
We don't know if this higher up noticed our discomfort which is what maybe led to the following, but he came up to us asking if we wanted to get our bill and pay, to which we said not yet as a few more people in our group wanted to order more drinks. He brought the bill over anyway, which just made us feel like he was trying to get rid of us.
The atmosphere is great on the surface, but really, there's a lot needing to be done to make this a place worthy of you spending your time and...
Read moreTerrifying and worst experience I've ever had in a bar.
Me and my friend ordered 2 drinks, and the waitress told us the promotion was 'buy one get one free' on a couple of selected cocktails. We ordered 2 of those, but ended up getting 4 cocktails!
We didn't drink them, and tried telling the staff we didn't want 4, but just 2 in total. The staff didn't speak English that well at all so it was very hard to make them understand, but when they did they still wanted to make us pay for more than we ordered. After trying to explain again and again in a nice way, but just getting told off by the staff, we decided to leave without touching our drink or paying. This resulted in people blocking our way and trying to make us pay the full price or they were going to call the POLICE!!
We didn't try to walk away again of course, but we tried to explain the situation and try to solve this problem, but they kept on saying they were gonna call the police, being very rude and not helpful at all. I was literally crying at this point, and the person in charge and some of the staff kept on being very rude and we just didn't know what to do. After a long conversation we did get to a mutual agreement on a solution, so I'm glad they didn't involve the police in the end.
It was definitely the worst I've been treated ever and I definitely don't...
Read moreLooked really nice, thought it was a small cocktailbar but behind the small bar in the front there's a club with a DJ which looked really cool. We decided to have a cocktail in the small bar in the front and I asked the waiter if they do a Moscow Mule as it wasn't on the menu and he said yes, so I ordered a Moscow mule and a red wine for my wife. Not sure what he made but I got some weird drink, white and creamy, had something like coconut in so I said this is not a Moscow Mule and he said yes it is. Some other guy came to us (must have been a supervisor or manager) and he also said yes it's a Moscow mule and again I said no it isn't. They clearly got annoyed took the drink away and said that I just had to order from the menu. I also got a bit annoyed but ordered a Mojito (which was ok but nothing special) and then my wife said, I also got a white wine instead of the red you ordered, but leave it, it's fine. I noticed the guy behind the bar started looking on a tablet to see what a Moscow Mule was and heard him say the word Vodka, so I walked up to him and showed him a photo which he clearly did not appreciated and looked even more annoyed. Anyway just a simple sorry, you're right would have changed the whole atmosphere....now we finished our drinks, left without a tip, and we won't definitely come back...
