Found New Heng Kee on Google Maps and trusted our guts to go dine there, we never regretted it. We were welcomed by the owner, who is now 83 year-old and is still very involved in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. He was kind and always happy to chat with his customers. He helped us with the menu because he seemed to be the only one who could speak English there. Yes, there is an English menu with a variety of food but it doesn't have many photos, so he recommended some best-selling dishes to us. The food was so authentic that it felt like our childhood comfort food. Some of my favorites include the wontons with delicate soup, the stir-fried cabbage with super tender pork, and especially the stuffed chili peppers (OMG!). The prices at New Heng Kee are very reasonable, considering the quality of the food. The restaurant, including the toilet, is also very clean and well-maintained. There are 2 floor, bottom floor is hot and noisy but you can see them cooking just in-front of you😉 Second...

Just… gone in about three bites. Same story for the Shrimps with Yellow Curry Powder — sauce was spot on, heavy on that classic celery kick — but three lonely little shrimps? Really?
Morning Glory stir-fried nicely, no complaints there. Prices are fair, but portions run on the petite side. Still, tasty food, authentic atmosphere....
