I recently dined at Hanaya 1976 Japanese restaurant in Bangkok and had a delightful experience, earning it a solid 4 stars in my review. This place is a great option for lunch, as they serve up a delicious array of Japanese cuisine that's perfect for a midday meal. The ambiance was charming, with traditional Japanese decor creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere.
However, it's worth noting that Hanaya 1976 has limited opening hours, so it's essential to plan your visit accordingly. Despite this minor inconvenience, I was thoroughly impressed by the attentive service provided by their extensive staff. The moment I stepped in, I was greeted warmly, and throughout my meal, the staff remained courteous and efficient. It's evident that they prioritize customer satisfaction.
The menu boasted an array of traditional Japanese dishes, from sushi and sashimi to tempura and ramen, all crafted with skill and care. The flavors were on point, and the presentation was a feast for the eyes. As someone who appreciates authentic Japanese cuisine, I was pleased with the overall quality of the food.
In conclusion, Hanaya 1976 Japanese restaurant is a solid choice for lunch in Bangkok. Despite the limited opening hours, the exceptional service and delectable food make it a worthwhile dining destination. Read moreThis is one of my go-to places for Japanese cuisine—a true safe haven. I’ve been coming here since I was a child. It’s one of the first Japanese restaurants in Thailand, and my parents told me they’ve been visiting since their teenage years.
The restaurant serves authentic Japanese dishes with a comforting, homie touch. They offer a wide variety, including sushi, sashimi, Japanese salads, udon, and curry—you name it! I highly recommend trying the sea bass slices (Suzuki Usuzukuri), hotate, and yakisoba. All these dishes are reasonably priced and maintain excellent taste and quality.
One menu item that truly stands out is their shabu-shabu. It comes in an impressively large portion with plenty of pork and fresh vegetables. You could order just this dish, share it with a couple of friends, and have more than enough for a satisfying dinner. I can confidently say it’s great value for money with fantastic taste to match.
The service and location are also commendable. While the restaurant isn’t conveniently located near public transport like the BTS or MRT, they provide parking for those who drive. They also offer private rooms, perfect for intimate family dinners.
All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine at a reasonable price. It’s a gem...
Read moreTook a bit of time to get this posted.. I was here June 2024 and was not hungry when reaching this restaurant. It has a very nostalgic feeling looking at the ambience and instantly felt like being transported back to 80s... that's the atmosphere.. feeling old school in a good way. We ordered something light, hence you will see we have sashimi for sharing, the same goes to local fish thinly sliced as it looks like facial mask, we also ordered the beef which I felt it would taste better if it was medium rare.. but overall was tasty.. another friend went vegetarian with some interesting dish like grilled gingko!! My 1st attempt eating it... not bad actually.. the usual edamame and some sushi topped with egg. The dessert wasn't bad at all.. we shared green tea with red bean.. is always a Japanese restaurant signature dessert and you ought to try something out of the ordinary which is chocolate strawberry mochi and it comes with a soup.. I felt the price is reasonable and importantly the quality is...
