A Taste of Italy in Lamai – Unmissable!
During our one-week stay in Lamai, we found ourselves returning to Emporio Caffé Samui three times – that alone should speak volumes. This charming little spot instantly transported us to Italy with its warm ambiance and truly authentic flavors.
I had the Carbonara twice – it was so good I couldn’t resist a repeat – and the Amatriciana, which was just as delicious. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauces rich and flavorful, and everything had that homemade Italian touch that’s so hard to find. My husband tried the Lasagna, which he absolutely loved, and the Antipasto misto, a beautiful, well-balanced starter full of quality ingredients.
To finish, I had an affogato, and it was the perfect way to end the meal – simple, bold, and authentically Italian.
Chef Alessandro clearly pours his heart into every dish, and the hospitality matched the food – warm, personal, and passionate. If you’re in Koh Samui and craving real Italian cuisine, Emporio Caffé is a must. We’ll be dreaming of it until...

Once in, we soon spotted an italian face, was the owner and chef, which has make us feel at home from the first moment. It's not a big menu (which usually means that is all fresh and well made), there are some classic italian dishes and in particular roman dishes. We had 1 sausage and provola cheese bruschetta( sausage home made) and 2 cacio e pepe and 1 linguine alle vongole for the little one: it was all delicious, well made, perfectly creamy and really tasty. Stay away from all the fake restaurants with huge venues around,if you want to eat well and proper italian this is the place to go! To a chef to another chef : is hard to keep a proper italian menu without being influenced from the nation based,it's risky and hard way but is the most satisfying one, proud of...

I guess I’d say that we had a good dinner here all in all, but since the portions (also the appetizer) were quite small, and it left one of us still hungry, the cost was just double of what we thought the experience would be worth, especially with motor bikes driving past. I’m sure many people will love this place but for other young couples on a budget we’d recommend...
