Haad Bang Po is undeniably a hidden gem on the tropical paradise of Koh Samui, Thailand. The main draw here is undoubtedly the breathtaking beach location and the mesmerizing sunset views. This picturesque destination is perfect for those seeking a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The highlight of Haad Bang Po is unquestionably the stunning sunset experience. Whether you're sipping on a rum-loaded coconut or enjoying a cold local beer, the backdrop of the sun dipping below the horizon is nothing short of magical. It's an ideal spot for a relaxing sundowner, and the ambiance during this time is truly unforgettable.
However, Haad Bang Po falls short when it comes to its dining options. While the setting is impeccable, the food served here is rather disappointing. Not only is it average in terms of taste, but it also comes at a premium price compared to many other restaurants and bars nearby. If you're a food enthusiast looking to indulge in the rich and diverse Thai cuisine, you might want to consider exploring other dining establishments in the vicinity.
In conclusion, Haad Bang Po is an excellent choice for those who want to soak in the natural beauty of Koh Samui while enjoying a memorable sunset with a refreshing beverage in hand. However, if your primary focus is on dining and culinary experiences, it might be wise to...
Read moreMy wife and I had dinner here. The restaurant is literally right on the beach. You can dig your feet and toes into the sand. The views are amazing. Being on the north shore of Samui you can see all of Ko Phangan. This alone makes this place worth a visit even just for a drink. The seating is a mixture of huts and tables which makes its great during the day for lunch or equally at night. The atmosphere is very chilled. The staff were very polite and attentive though not bothersome. They were always happy which is great to see. The food was delicious. We had the prawns tempura though it was more like battered prawns than tempura. Nonetheless it was tasty. We also ate spring rolls, fried rice and the best dish was the barracuda. We were quite pleased with the food and the...
Read moreA favourite on Bang Por beach (north end) since 2006, same owner's, wife is the main chef. Wait staff have changed but the menu is the same. Food and beach setting is the highlight. Decor, bathrooms nothing much to mention. Bills are hand written, TV always playing in the inside area, very local feel. Value for money. Thai food is better than the western food. Large tables and a few traditional sala"s for sitting and an indoor area good if its raining. A few signature dishes are the curry omlette, clear tom yum kung soup, nam prik (thai dip served with fresh veg) you need to ask for...
