Harry's Restaurant — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

Went here based on the good reviews. To our opinion the portions are indeed slightly bigger than normal, but nothing enormous as some other people write about. Pices are fair. Food taste is only mediocre. Not bad, not notably good. We tried the green curry (100 thb) and the cashew chicken (120 thb) along with the coconut soup (100 thb) and french fries. Especially with the french fries you could taste that the oil in which they were fried was (too) old. Mango fruit juice tasted fresh and was good (50 thb). Ordering the coconut juice gives you an entire coconut to drink from. The place only has a few tables and filled up quickly. When a table became free it was filled within minutes again. There is no WiFi and the place is simplistic. On the menu, like somebody already mentioned in their review, most western dishes have been removed eliminating almost 50% of the options. Tried to ask why they were removed but they didn't understand the question. As the other person mentioned this some time ago already, it must be that they're off of the menu foregood instead of just temporarily sold out. Weird that they don't just print a new menu but okay. If you're going for Thai food, you've got the usual options still available though. We don't find this place interesting enough...

Owner was so rude We order a coconut an ice tea and cheese toasted and fries.... Honestly.... the worst snack ever The coconut was broken like a but her can do the hole for the coconut water was so small i send it back for a bigger hole to eat the jelly and the lady (owner came back and said to me drink first and after we slice the coconut... lol) I requested another one with a bigger hole to eat and drink at same time... The cheese toasted was a joke and there was around 12 fries with it. At the end we paid for everything and they even did a mistake with the change and give me back 50 bhat extra... AVOID THIS PLACE ITS NOT WORTH IT Around this restaurant you...

Food was beautiful big portions breakfast was English style with mug of tea the low prices attract many people so the food is always fresh I went twice a day for six weeks and got to know the owners and was able to talk about Samui island life in the early eighties be fore the island got ruined by big concrete hotels and the ring road was completely safe today many tourists lose their life on motorcycles,pop in to Harry's small Chang beer was 45 baht in December 2018 and order a meal big portion is ample for two the fish was the best I had...
