Lamai food court — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

Nice little street food court with seating and music coming from the gogo bars across the way.

We ordered a selection of seafood and Thai food. All of it was good and reasonably priced. The seating was full when we went on a Thursday night in low season so we went to the bar side and ordered a beer and sat down there where there was plenty of seating. The vendors bring the food to you so you don’t have to stand around and wait which is nice. If you do sit across the way near the bars be sure to let the vendor know or watch out for them because they expect you to be sitting in the food court area.

Overall we were very happy with the food, drinks, seating, and service.

I would definitely recommend eating here at least once to get the authentic Thai experience.

Outdoor food-stands offering thai street food. There is a wide variety of food available with lots of fresh seafood, fried prawns and spring rolls, and more traditional thai dishes like pad thai, chicken/pork with basil leaf etc. There are tables that you can just sit at and the food will be brought to you once it's ready. You can buy beers at the family mart next door or from the lady bars scattered around. This is really worth while doing one...

We got lovely touristy items here at the stalls at what i considered good prices. Food didn't really appeal too much here because we are still a bit paranoid about hygiene perhaps and stick to the more snobbish restaurants to be safe.
