Disappointing and Misleading – Avoid

I visited The Meat Steakhouse expecting a good meal, but the experience was frustrating from start to finish. I ordered the Pulled Pork Burger, only to receive what was essentially just a slab of pork. When I questioned this, the staff casually informed me that they don’t actually do pulled pork—despite it being clearly listed on the menu. No warning, no clarification, just a surprise when the plate hit the table.

To their credit, they offered to change it, but by that point, my girlfriend was nearly done with her meal, making the offer completely pointless. A proper restaurant should inform customers if they’re serving something completely different from what’s advertised. The lack of transparency is unacceptable, and the whole experience left a bad taste—literally and figuratively.

If you're looking for amazing seafood in Koh Samui, The Meat is a fantastic choice! Despite the name, their fish dishes are truly outstanding. We ordered the deep-fried red snapper and white snapper in soy sauce—both were flavorful and well-prepared, but the deep-fried snapper was absolutely the best. The fish was crispy on the outside, tender inside, and packed with fresh flavors.

The restaurant is conveniently located on the main road of Lamai Beach, making it easy to find. They also offer a wide variety of non-alcoholic beverages, as well as a great selection of beer and wine, perfect for pairing with your meal.

10+!!! Brilliant, portions are big, very tasty, service is amazing. Cleaniness top notch. Less prices than 90% other restaurants but high quality in all aspects. I ate pork chop, garlic bread, corn, potato, all was perfection. Margarita cocktail is excellent. Staff is professional and highly accommodating, clean, polite, 10/10. Surprisingly there was not many guests, this was by far the best place I ate in entire Samui and Krabi. I can recommend especially pork chop, garlic bread, cocktails.
