🌕 Full Moon Magic at a Hidden Gem Bar in Koh Phangan
This bar in Koh Phangan completely stole my heart. It’s located right on the walking street, and I visited during the Full Moon Night Festival. Even with crowds flooding the island for the event, this place felt like a peaceful escape—plenty of tables, good music, and an atmosphere that felt effortlessly cool.
There are tons of food options nearby—burgers, Thai, Korean, and more—so it’s perfect for grabbing a drink and a bite. The staff were amazing: super kind, relaxed, and even offered us anti-mosquito spray without us asking. Genuinely warm and attentive.
What really stood out was the authentic vibe—every detail, from the decorations to the lighting to the music, felt thoughtfully chosen. It’s not flashy or overly curated—it just works. Every seat feels like it has a story.
Honestly, I’d say this is one of the best bars on the island, maybe even the planet. If you’re in Koh Phangan during the Full Moon—or anytime—don’t miss this spot. Have a drink, soak in the vibe, and enjoy a place that knows how to...
Read moreCame here to watch English Premier League football in January. Was not disappointed. Three screens, including one covering entire wall. They do not serve food, but allow you to bring food from outside. There are some food options just outside the bar. We brought in food. The cocktails are 150 baht, and come served in plastic cups. They are ok. 7:30pm kick off local time. Initially bar was sparsely populated which meant I could watch in peace. As minutes turned into hours it became very packed. It could be because of the adjoining YOUTH hostel. More than a few youths (and elders) trying to get lucky (in the words of Daft Punk). Or it was due to the torrential rain outside that lead people to seek cover inside the bar. It became a madhouse. But a very entertaining madhouse if people-watching is your thing. Difficult to follow the game for all the people, but with three screens I was always able to have visibility...
Read moreEverything was good, margaritas very good, live music, but then the lady from the bar short changed us claiming that we had given her 500 baht when we gave her 1000. It's not much but it ruined the whole impression of the place particularly because it's was pretty quiet so we were one of the few people there and we had spent quite a bit during the night, we did tell her but she just pretended not to understand even though she clearly spoke english. Felt very betrayed because we were really enjoying it. So be mindful, try to pay everything with the exact cash, you never know who to...
