Pud Restaurant — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

This is by far the best place to eat on Koh Tao, often overlooked as people head to the "more popular" neighbour Mama Tam's, we've eaten at both. PUD for us came out top (we ate there as a family of 6 twice and sampled several dishes on the menu). The portions are large and everything is cooked to order. On the second visit I ordered the Massaman curry and realised when someone showed up with a bag of coconut milk that they hadn't had all the ingredients, but unlike in the UK where they would just tell you it's unavailable, they got the required ingredients delivered on the spot. Pud’s is the best restaurant on the whole island! We ate here almost every night after going to other restaurants on along the street. The pad Thai and massaman curry were the stand outs for me. The food comes usually within 30mins which is so fast compared to next door at mama tams where you’d wait 2.5/3.5 hours for your meal which isn’t nice.

The lovely chef prepares everything herself and you can see her cook. I didn’t manage to get her name but she was really nice and friendly.
