Way overpriced and not that health-focused.
I really want to like this place, but I can't. I've been staying in Lamai for a while and have been here three times, two of which were extremely disappointing. The first time, I came to get coffee in the morning and ordered what was suppose to be their take on bulletproof coffee, but with some Raw Cacao. While it sounded great in the description, It contained next to no coffee and included sugars (honey I think but I'm not sure). This sweetness was not included in the description which would have been good to know since I'm trying to watch my sugars.
The other incident was the most recent which happened today when I came to order lunch. I ordered the Viva Burrito, which advertised as being a mix of Guacamole, spinach, bell peppers, garlic, and rice. The reality is it’s almost entirely rice. As in literally 90+% of the burrito by weight is Rice. There was a total of 2 slices of bell pepper, a single small leaf of spinach (literally), a small spoonful of avocado that was mixed with sour cream(?) and three small slivers of unripe rubbery avocado. The rest was nothing but rice, which was barely mentioned in the description. All that cost a staggering 320 Baht, which is a borderline scam in my opinion.
To their credit, the smoothies and juices I have had there are great, but everything else on their menu is awful and WAY WAY overpriced. They need to either need to change the description on their menu to reflect the reality or drop food altogether. I seriously have tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt, as it’s really the only healthy option in this neighborhood, but after 3 times, I feel that this place is a rip-off. Wild Tribe only caters to the Instagram crowd that think being healthy is a hashtag and not to be...

Sometimes something special is right on your doorstep without you even realising it. That's what happened to me with the Wild Tribe Café - a vegan & vegetarian paradise run with heart and soul, which I was lucky enough to discover. I was all the more delighted to find this place so close to my accommodation and to have the opportunity to eat there 🩷
I opted for the Stir Fried Cashew Tofu and I was impressed as soon as I smelled the spices. The flavours were so promising that I could hardly wait to try the first bite. And indeed!!! I was delighted from the very first second!!! The flavours were perfectly balanced, full of sophistication and attention to detail 🫶🏼
The Wild Tribe Café is not just a place for a meal - it's an experience !!!
The atmosphere, the wide selection of creative vegan & vegetarian dishes and the quality of every dish show that they work here with passion and a deep understanding of good food. EVERYONE will find something here that makes their heart beat faster ☀️

Read moreI don’t normally leave reviews like this but I need to post this. We overlooked the negative reviews on this place, and I wish we wouldn’t have. This was the worst meal we had on Koh Samui. When I complained about the meal, the manager Eve argued with me in front of the restaurant that the smoothie was “supposed” to taste like that. But I actually had it changed because it was originally so bland (I ordered it because I love ginger + turmeric), but when it came back it was so yellow from the turmeric it was disgusting and made me feel sick. They wouldn’t give me my money back for a smoothie I did not drink, but had us wait 25 minutes for a new one??? Also, the breakfast was terrible: scrambled eggs that were 99% onions and peppers, and half the plate was the exact vegetables that were mixed and cooked in the eggs. Why wouldn’t you offer fruit on the side? Worst dry bread I’ve ever had in my life and I couldn’t eat it (heads up they don’t have butter). Wild experience and not in a good way. I tried to keep the situation discreet from other customers but they obviously don’t know how to deal with issues in a professional way and involved every single staff member and the whole restaurant. Would...
