The Hub Samui – A Must-Visit Café for Fitness Enthusiasts, Expats, and Travelers

If you’re in Lamai Beach, Koh Samui, and looking for a café that caters to both health-conscious eaters and lovers of classic Thai food, The Hub Samui is the spot. Conveniently located right across from a Muay Thai training gym, this modern café blends fresh, nutritious meals with traditional Thai flavors, making it the perfect go-to for fighters, digital nomads, expats, and travelers passing through.

A Menu That Hits Every Need

One of the best things about The Hub Samui is the variety of food options. For those focused on fitness and performance, they serve high-protein meals, fresh smoothies, and nutrient-dense dishes designed to fuel your body. Whether you're prepping for a workout or recovering after a training session, they have plenty of healthy, balanced meals that support your goals.

At the same time, they’ve got all the Thai classics you know and love, from pad Thai and green curry to fresh seafood dishes. So whether you’re on a strict training diet or just want to enjoy an authentic Thai meal, there’s something here for you.

Top-Notch Service & Atmosphere

One thing that makes The Hub stand out is its friendly, welcoming staff. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm service, making it feel like a home away from home. They go above and beyond to make sure guests are comfortable, whether you’re grabbing a quick coffee, sitting down for a post-training meal, or settling in with your laptop for a few hours.

The modern, stylish setting is also a huge plus. With indoor seating and a relaxed veranda, you can choose a quiet spot to work, unwind, or just enjoy the tropical surroundings.

Perfect for Fighters, Digital Nomads & Expats

For fighters & fitness enthusiasts: With its clean eating options, high-protein meals, and fresh ingredients, it’s the ideal place to refuel after training.

For digital nomads: Strong Wi-Fi, good coffee, and a chill atmosphere make it a solid remote working spot.

For travelers & expats: Whether you’re staying long-term or just passing through, The Hub gives you a taste of both modern café culture and authentic Thai cuisine in one place.

Final Verdict: A Must-Visit in Koh Samui

If you’re looking for great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and a spot that caters to both fitness enthusiasts and casual diners, The Hub Samui delivers on all fronts. With healthy meals, classic Thai dishes, friendly service, and a prime location, it’s easily one of the best cafés in Lamai Beach. This place is a huge disappointment. We arrived around 11:20 in the morning and ordered coffee and poached eggs. The coffee arrived in 10 minutes, but it took exactly 50 minutes to make the eggs, even though the place wasn't fully seated. By the time the eggs arrived, the coffee had already gone cold, but let's not dwell on that.

For 160 baht, you get 2 small pieces of white bread with 2 eggs on top, plus one small cherry tomato. Basically, that's all. We paid an extra 70 baht for avocados, yet the portion was still small and somewhat empty. The flavor is really bland; it seems they don't use any salt or spices, resulting in eggs that taste like... well, just raw egg. To salvage any flavor, we ended up adding a considerable amount of salt. Generally, these are the worst Eggs Benedict I've ever tried.

Moreover, there were no tissues or toilet paper in the bathroom, even though we arrived in the morning just a few hours after the opening.

The only good things are the interior and comfortable seats. They also have many sockets, making it a potentially good place to work, if you can ignore the constant noise of the coffee machine. I'd probably choose this place only if I needed to work nearby and just grab a coffee. However, the breakfast here is a failure from any...

I went there expecting a better experience, the place is nice and in a great location, the coffee was average and so was the sweets, watermelon smoothie was good, but I again I was expecting more

This part of the review is after the owners comment..

I would like to give my appreciation for the quick response from the owner, it truly means they care

Yes, you are absolutely correct. You deserve a more detailed comment. True, I did not try the food, I had just finished breakfast, and based on a friend's recommendation, we came for the coffee and some desert, I ordered the coffee and asked the gentleman what he recommends for desert, true the coffee taste is subjective, but I personally did not like it very much, as for the cookie, it was not the sweetness, as this is what I was looking for, but it was not fresh. For the service, nothing was wrong per se except that maybe we have been spoiled the past few days wherever we went, the friendliness that usually comes with the service did not exist this morning, and they seemed detached. I will definitely come again and try...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Life-Saving Oasis During Yoga Training! The Hub Samui truly saved my life during my intensive yoga teacher training in Samui, where I stayed for over two weeks. I tried almost every vegan brunch item on their menu, and I can confidently say it’s a must-visit for anyone seeking fresh, wholesome, and delicious plant-based meals. Their fresh fruit smoothies are incredibly refreshing—bursting with natural flavors and perfect for cooling down under the tropical sun. I especially loved their iced coffee with coconut milk, which was the ultimate pick-me-up in the hot weather. Every sip felt like a mini-vacation! What really sets The Hub apart is the warm, friendly staff who make you feel right at home. Their genuine hospitality adds so much to the overall experience. If you’re staying in the Chaweng area, don’t miss dropping by . It’s a peaceful retreat with great vibes, perfect for recharging after a busy day. Highly recommended!
