So my friend & I went here for lunch as it’s literally right around the corner from both of us!
She just moved here from Italy so we’ve known each other in Canada so we were just wanting to grab a bite to eat nearby and I’m showing her the neighbourhood!
One place I’ve seen expanding quite a bit over Covid was this place (also in Sukumvit road)
We ordered these onion rings as we both were craving them and they came out so big huge crispy and hot we were addicted immediately!
We shared a burrito and we also shared some tostadas!
This food was quick, delicious and satisfied that my friend went back there to have the Onion 🧅 rings once again!!
We are going to make the Silom location our fav watering hole so the alcohol 🍺 is also reasonably priced and o like the open air feeling!
They have a pool table upstairs for more lazy Sunday afternoon kinda fun! ☺️☺️
This service is also good bc the place is somewhat small to attentive staff!
Side note: (She also bought a necklace this pendant from me because I design jewellery and if you want to get a hold of it it’s a freedom Canada pendant so you can contact me anytime through here! ) #freedomcanadajewelry

Read moreLive in Bangkok, never seen Buddys in silom before, spotted coming from Lunch at BC, thought give it a try one day. Today was that day. Food average. Swiss meatballs was not worth the price...plate lacked colour aside from the 2 slices of tomato, meatballs small grey and dry. Mash was fine. Gravy very salty. Poppers took long time to come, swiss meatballs finished whilst waiting for the appetiser, awful is the only description...only 4 customers in the bar and only myself eating. Staff are pleasant enough but addicted to their phones. Waited for service to order 2nd beer...could see staff huddled in pairs trying to be discreet as they chatted on phones. 22 mins before I caught the eye of one staff member, she was Thai and working consistently, she apologised and rousted the others. The worst about this bar is the smoking. Eating and people smoking inside and at the two roll up doors. Wind and fans blowing smoke across food and drinks. No respite for non smokers from the cancer sticks. Overall not a great experience and I would not return. Before you start with date and time...as an excuse to avoid taking responsibility....10th September 2025 arrived 5:12pm....

Dropped into Buddy’s Bar & Grill (Silom) on a warm Bangkok evening and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a Hendrick’s gin with cucumber and tonic—it was chilled perfectly, crisp, and refreshing. Just what you need after a humid day in the city.
The ambiance is casual and colorful with a nostalgic American diner vibe—checkered floors, classic bar counter, and plenty of seating. It’s unpretentious and comfortable, great for a relaxed night out or a casual drink solo.
Staff were courteous, quick, and efficient, though not overly interactive. The drink menu is impressively broad, especially for spirits and beers. They also have a full American comfort food menu—burgers, hot dogs, wings, and more (didn’t try the food this time, but will next visit).
If you're in the Silom area, Buddy’s is a solid spot to unwind. Bonus: open late, clean bathrooms, and no touristy gimmicks.
A reliable, down-to-earth watering hole that deserves its rating.
