By the looks of this hotel in is very nice. I wouldn't define it as a five-star hotel as I've seen my fair share lately and in Bangkok. But still nice all the same. The room size is spacious and the floor to ceiling windows definitely help add to the spaciousness of the room. Weirdly upon entering my windows curtains were completely shut so I didn't get that well after walking into the room. I was giving a 17th floor room.

The bed is on the harder side and the pillows (2 on each side) are on the too soft side. The bed also leans across to the middle so if you're sitting at the foot or at the head of the bed it's caving in towards the middle. Sitting with your back to the pillows will have you leaning forward (image included).

The floors are all hard surface. Unfortunately for my allergy friends there is a rug at the front part of the bed that appears dirty and has stained. It doesn't seem to serve any purpose other than stylize so for allergy sakes perhaps they would be willing to remove them because they are old and dated.

There is a mini fridge (no mini bar) along with a safe, hair dryer, two pairs of slippers (on the cheaper side for a five star hotel) and waffle robes which are in good condition. There is a kettle along with a few different teas, couple of instant coffees and a couple of sugars. The TV is a decent enough size for the room. There is a chair with foot stool in addition to a large size desk. There are no technical full size mirrors but there are a couple of mirrors in both the bedroom and the bathroom that are very close to full size. There is ample lighting control to the various areas of the bedroom which were more than adequate.

The bathroom I found to be a bit lacking in lighting. Although it is larger than most standard hotel rooms. It has a separate shower and bath. There is a strange smell coming from the room. The shower is in need of some seriously cleaning with several areas of mold. It does have the three separate hair conditioner shampoo and shower gels. The single sink has liquid soap and body soap and offers a number of amenities. Leaving the door open to get cooler and a less musty room did not work as the air conditioning does not call the room enough to get the back portion of the room. The light is on a single switch so if you come to use the bathroom late at night you only have the option of every light or no light. I found the water pressure to be consistent however the temperature had times when it would get overly hot so I wouldn't say the temperature was steady but I've experienced far worse.

One of the issues with this room comes into the fact that you're supposed to be able to control the climate in your room. However that is not the experience that I had. When I came in it was 26° although the temperature was set at 18 and the fan was set at full capacity. I checked in around 6:00pm but I was going to be leaving for hours so I decided that I would just let it run. When I returned about 5 hours later the temperature had only dropped 1 degree to 25° although it was still set at 18 and blowing at full capacity with The electric still running while I was gone. I went downstairs to speak to reception and they wanted to send a maintenance worker at 10:30 at night to a single female's room... For what?? Proof that the air wasn't working? What are they going to do at 10:30 at night, fix it?? Since I was just staying one night they could have just offered me another room but they didn't. Leaving the fan and temperature running all night at 18 the room did cool off a degree or two more perhaps but never close to the temperature set on the thermostat.

The other issue is that there is zero outlets near the bed. The only outlet available to you is in a little desk across the room. No one wants to sleep with their phone across the room.

In the end yes it's a nice hotel, as are many hotels in the area, and I might have a better opinion if I had stayed longer to take in and use...

After stopping off in Doha, then going on to Vietnam, Cambodia and now Thailand, this is our 7th hotel in a few weeks and by far the worst, I would suggest a three-star maximum, on entering the hotel we were greeted by a small area which was unwelcoming and very busy, we needed to wait to get the reception desk, but there was nowhere to actually sit down and wait, eventually getting to the kiosk at 2:30 we were advised that our room was not ready, this to be fair was fine as we were told this could be 3:00, we were offered some soft drinks by the pool area and to go up and wait, the area was functional there were very few sunbeds and chairs and the pool small and dated on the plus side the drinks were welcoming and this was the last we would see of the pool as from this day onwards it was closed for maintenance, our room was available at 3:00 and when entering the room the first thing you noticed was how badly scuffed the floor is and the bottom of the net curtains dirty, later that evening and night we came across several other issues, first was when putting our clothes in the drawer the drawers are of a flimsy make and very difficult to use (slide open and close), we found someone else's medicine/tablet on the floor, both sockets either side of the bed were broken meaning that the bedside lamps weren't working and we were unable to plug our phones in to those sockets to charge them, but worst was the state of the toilet under the rim was very dirty, also because I am in a strange room I leave a light on to locate the bathroom at night, unfortunately due to the room design if any light was on it illuminated the entire area brightly, in the morning we went down for breakfast, but unfortunately the normal area was closed due to an issue, we were told to go up to the 37th floor, although the view from was very nice the breakfast items were limited as there was a lot of people wanting breakfast in a smaller executive area, before going out that morning we mentioned the problems we had with the room to the receptionist and asked for them to be put right, we went out, on return that afternoon I went to the receptionist and asked if the problems had been resolved, the lady looked a little bit puzzled and asked for somebody else to come over, I repeated the problems and was told we could have another room, we were not shown another room we were asked to pack our bags and a member of staff would collect them and we would go to another room, I would have hoped for an upgrade for the inconvenience but instead we went from the 22nd floor to the 21st, the room was similar, scuffed floor, dirty nets, flimsy drawers, although the toilet was clean and the sockets did work and because of a change of design of room when a light was left on it did not illuminate the whole area, the following morning we had an excellent breakfast, went out and returned at 4:30 for a rest prior to going out again, the room had not been serviced, I went down to reception and explained this and was told it would be done straight away, after 15 minutes no one had arrived and as we could not use the pool area and you cannot sit down comfortably in the reception area we decided to go out, 1 1/2 hours later we came back and our room had been done, but there were no face flannels, I again mentioned this to reception and the lady didn't appear to know what I was on about and asked me if I wanted my room made up, at this point I have just given in, I usually remove the card from the PowerPoint when going out, this was a mistake, as when replaced the A/C re started and was noisy foraround 3 minutes while it tried to re balance, to finish on a positive, when asked to extend our checkout by two hours because of the issues...

My last visit to your hotel. I always enjoyed staying at this hotel every time I come to Bangkok but clearly this visit was last one. I always recommended this hotel to my friends which lead them to become your guests on my recommendations. During this visit (my last visit!), I was incredibly upset and disappointed.

We arrived to the hotel with friends and had 2 rooms booked and paid in advance. At the reception, I immediately asked for a room without mosquitoes since during our check in at the reception we were terribly bitten (Unfortunately I have very bad allergic reaction to mosquito bites and it was important for me to make sure that there are no insects in the room). The first surprise was awaiting for us when we got on our floor and the hallway carpet was in terrible condition covered with stains and rubbish, as if garbage cans were carried along it. Two cards were given to us at the reception during our check in and one was in the room. Out of all 3 cards only 1 worked, which could open the door, the rest were absolutely useless. The second surprise was awaiting for us in our room. Everything in the room was super old and in terrible condition, worn out, with cracks, stains and rusty. The extractor fan in the bathroom did not work at all so every time we tried to take shower the entire room was converted with steam. It took us almost 10 minutes to flush the toilet every time we used it and apart from that it was leaking! Also, bed side lumps could not be used as the wiring was making noise and as if the current was going up and down and sleeping right next to it was simply not safe! The second room where my friends stayed had similar issues. Also, there were mosquitoes in the room … despite for what I asked in advance.. To get the water running in the shower, you need to make quite an effort and on top of that u get strange sounds that are coming from the sewer drain for about an hour after you finish showering.

We went down to the reception and asked to change our rooms but we were completely shocked when receptionist began to argue with us and trying to prove that the rooms we had was not just new but NEWEST! None of receptionists even offered to go and see the rooms or offered to change at the reception after our complaints. After that I said that I will make sure that I have pictures of everything in the room that was mentioned above and that I will leave a review to which I got an answer from receptionist « well, we will be waiting for your photos».

I was extremely ashamed in front of my friends for the discomfort they had and for the horrible experience during their first time ever visit to Thailand. I was so much in love with your hotel and staff after my many previous visits but now I don’t even have right words to describe our disappointment.

In addition to above, next morning we went down to have a breakfast but we were not allowed in because I was wearing slippers provided in the hotel room (this was never a problem during our previous stays). I think guests should be reminded about this policy in advance, so not to spoil the morning mood and send your guests hungry back to the room on 21st floor!! We did not come in bathrobes or in revealing outfits, we just came to have a breakfast in comfortable shoes, which were in the room in a “5-star” hotel !!

On top of the things above, I must say that breakfast is always delicious, with generous meal selections. Special thanks to the chefs and staff who prepare it. Just one comment, it will be great if fresh juice was available instead of packaged juice placed in...

My partner and I have just spent nine (9) nights at Pullman G Bangkok through a luxury escape package. The hotel itself is a good standard not sure I would call it five star. The rooms (level 34) are good quality with lovely linen and comfy bed however the pillows might need replacing as they lack sufficient filling (that might be my personal choice). The bathroom was large and incldued a bath and separate shower with toiletories refreshed each day, bottled water supplied each day with extras available through reception, even ice can be delivered to your room. On level 5 there was a lovely pool and decent gym facilities although the pool is a little small for the size of the hotel. The hotel advertises steam room and sauna however these were out of order for our entire stay. We did get provided access to the steam and jacuzi on level 4 in G Spa as complimentary for the inconvenience. The wifi worked brilliantly right throughout the hotel and on all levels including by the pool. The breakfast was plentiful including both western and asian options and with good coffee options. If there was a negative, the options each day were generally the same and so if you have a longer stay there it becomes a bit monotonous. The staff in the breakfast area were very friendly and helpful always assisting with your coffess, clearing your table and greeting you with huge smiles, sorry I didnt grab their names. Our package also included access to the Executive lounge on level 27 each day between 2-4 for afternoon tea including some light finger foods and between 5-7 for drinks including some cocktails again with more hot finger foods. Again the negative was there were only two menus that alternated each day so again for a longer stay it becomes boring. The highlight was the staff in the lounge, Henry and Tar were extremly friendly and professional and always greeted us with a smile, held little chats with us around Songkran, or our travels and of course remembered our drink choices which adds that personal touch. Our package also included 1 complimentary massage at Spa G on the 4th floor each. I used both and the massages were great, ladies were friendly and the facilities were top notch. The location is fabulous if you are looking to enjoy the Silom, Sala Daeng (10 min walk), Chong Nonsi (5 min walk) area with easy access to the BTS, an easy 20 min walk down to the river, or 15 min walk to Lumpini Park. We were fortunate that our rooom did not have any damage from the recent earthquake. I understand that have some rooms out of action due to damage. Would we stay here again, definately.

In the end yes it's a nice hotel, as are many hotels in the area, and I might have a better opinion if I had stayed longer to take in and use the amenities.

Just one comment, it will be great if fresh juice was available instead of packaged juice placed in glass bottles.
