I went to Boon Restaurant, and it was a flavor explosion that made me want to shout, "Boon Appetit!" 🤩😋 I came ready for a delicious meal, and it was a culinary adventure that had my taste buds doing a happy dance! 💃🎉
I visited this place, and it was like stepping into a food lover's paradise! From the beautifully presented dishes that looked like edible works of art 🎨🤤 to the fragrant aromas that filled the air 👃✨, it was a feast for all the senses. I felt like I should have brought a tiny fork and knife set to wear as a necklace, because I was definitely ready to appreciate the finer things in dining! 🍴😂
However, let’s be real – even for a seasoned food enthusiast like myself, a place this delicious can sometimes feel a bit like a real-life game of "how to choose just one thing when everything looks amazing?" 😅 And while the food was undeniably amazing, my stomach definitely felt like it had gone on a gourmet adventure afterwards. 🌍🤤
Overall, if you're looking for a dining experience that's both elegant and incredibly delicious, Boon Restaurant is a must-try! It's flavorful, it's fun, and you're guaranteed to leave with a happy (and very full) belly. I came away feeling completely satisfied, even if I sometimes felt like I was participating in a synchronized food-appreciation session with a hundred other happy diners. Just remember to bring your appetite, your love for all things delicious, and maybe a friend to help you try even more...
Read moreDuring my stay in Bangkok, I stumbled upon a Chinese restaurant that caught my eye, mainly due to its convenient location near my hotel and its late-night hours.
What struck me most was the sense of community within the restaurant. It was evident that this spot was a favorite among the local Chinese residents. There was a warm, convivial air as patrons, arriving at staggered times, recognized each other and exchanged greetings. This spontaneous interaction added a unique charm to the place, making it feel like a hub for social gatherings rather than just a dining venue.
As for the food, I kept my order simple: fried tofu, noodles, and some vegetables. While the dishes were decent, I couldn't help but notice that the prices seemed a tad steep for what was offered. The food, while satisfactory, didn't particularly stand out in terms of flavor or presentation.
Reflecting on my experience, I'd say this restaurant is more about the ambiance and the opportunity it provides for friends to come together than the culinary experience itself. It's a place where food seems to play a secondary role to the sense of community and camaraderie among its patrons. While I might not rush back for the food alone, the lively atmosphere and the joy of witnessing spontaneous reunions might just...

As soon as we sit, people keep coming in like it’s 🧧 Chinese new year . Locals, families, even real Chinese people! That’s when you know—food must be chef’s kiss 💋 , or at least chopstick clap.
We order like we know what we doing. Chinese ribs? Boom. Spicy squid? Bring it. Frog with green 🫑 ? Yes, we eat the frog 🐸- very Prince Charming of us -although not for me!! One small rice 🍚 and Chinese tea 🍵 to wash it all down like elegant dragon.
By the time we finish, place is still packed, bellies are full, and I’m planning to come back again with bigger appetite and looser pants.
