The coffee here is unreasonably good, just matched with the quality of the desert. We almost never have desert, unless it is absolutely exceptional. That was the case here with the chocolate cake.And the vibe of the café is amazing. Have a look at the room behind the courtyard outside, it is gorgeous. I stopped by for a quick coffee and ended up spending hours, whilst being really productive with my work. Inspiring places are rare, this is one of the best I have found. Edit: back and tried the dark roast espresso, I like even more than the medium. I eyed the deserts attempting to resist and laughed when they told me they had “healthy” options. But they explained they use sugar alternatives and dates! I’m eating the peanut thing and… it is low sugar and delicious! I’m seriously impressed. Craftist is a comfortable cafe with a modern- brutalist aesthetic. Located in Old Town Phuket, this shop is often filled with the smells of freshly prepared sweets that instantly bring back warm feelings of childhood. The staff are kind and knowledgeable, and very welcoming.

The coffee (and tea) is absolutely top notch and taste very high quality. So good. Enough said.

The sweets however, are probably the biggest reason someone might make the journey to Craftist. They are smartly designed, and expertly executed. It is my understanding that the desserts here have an emphasis on using healthier ingredients, but to put it bluntly, I would eat any of the sweet treats here regardless of how unhealthy they were. Both desserts we tried were very tastefully sweetened, and texturally excellent.

Came in for breakfast, stayed for like 6 hours and went back every day after until we left Phuket. Everything delicious and beautifully presented and a nice environment to be in.

Good food, drinks, coffee, cakes and treats, weed friendly (shout out to Jason at Clouded in the middle section who was lovely) and a nice little garden at the back with a fish pond.

The only one time they messed up the order they sorted it quickly with no fuss and gave us complimentary cake as an apology.

They should 100% do a tasting menu but if you have to pick then the chocolate mousse cake is excellent, as is the carrot cake. Try the Italian soda or milk caramel drink as a frappe if you want a non caffeine option. So good.
