Grandma Pen Pad Thai — Restaurant in Thung Phaya Thai Subdistrict

This place is good for a big breakfast or brunch. It's easy to reach, super close to the BTS station and a convenience store. The place might be a tight squeeze right on the side of the road, but the food is super affordable and the portion is quite generous.

The noodles were nicely cooked -- chewy and soft at the same time, and the dishes were nicely flavoured. With some extra chili powder, crushed peanuts, and lime on top, the meals became even more complete.

Overall, I can't really complain about much. The seating area might be a bit awkward, but you get used to it the more you dig into your food, and if you need any fresh drinks or extra toppings, the convenience store just a few metres from here has everything you need to complete your meal. Not that the food needs any more toppings, though.

ผัดไทยลูกยายเพ็ญ (สาขาลูกสาว) ร้านอาหารตามสั่งเล็ก ๆ ริมถนนพญาไท แต่รสชาติไม่ธรรมดาเลยครับ วัตถุดิบสด สะอาด ทำใหม่ทุกจาน ราคาไม่แพงเมื่อเทียบกับคุณภาพ ถือว่าคุ้มค่ามาก ๆ

ร้านมีโต๊ะนั่ง 2-3 โต๊ะ เป็นบรรยากาศแบบริมถนน ไม่มีแอร์ แต่ได้ฟีลเรียบง่ายสบาย ๆ เหมาะกับคนที่อยากทานข้าวจานด่วนแต่ได้รสชาติแบบถึงเครื่องจริง ๆ

เมนูที่นี่มีให้เลือกเยอะ ทั้งข้าวราดผัดกะเพรา ผัดพริกแกงใต้ ข้าวผัด ผัดไทย หรือจะลองเมนูแปลกใหม่อย่างกะเพราวุ้นเส้นก็อร่อยไม่เหมือนใคร (ในรูปเป็นข้าวผัดกะเพราวุ้นเส้นกุ้ง)

เนื้อสัตว์มีให้เลือกหลากหลาย เช่น เนื้อวัว เนื้อไก่ กุ้ง ปลาหมึก หอยแมลงภู่ ปลาดุก ฯลฯ (ที่นี่ไม่มีเมนูหมูนะครับ)

โดยรวมเป็นร้านอาหารตามสั่งเล็ก ๆ แต่รสชาติเด็ดเกินราคา แนะนำให้แวะมาลองครับ...
