Anajak Bangkok — Hotel in Thanon Phaya Thai Subdistrict

We had a wonderfully comfortable stay at this modest but fashionable hotel tucked away in a soi off of vibrant Phayathai Road, just steps away from the Airport Link train, which was a key reason we booked there. The rooms are clean, comfortable, equipped with smart TVs and (in our room) king sized beds which gave us a great night's sleep, and some nice views of the incredibly diverse metropolis with buildings old and new. The breakfast included in our reservation was just fine, with freshly cooked eggs, pancakes etc., and a nice selection of western and Thai offerings on the buffet, not to mention coffee which was properly brewed rather than dispensed from a machine. Best of all about Anajak was its unfailingly helpful, welcoming, hospitable and kind staff, each and every one of them. We split our stay with a five day trip to Bali, and they were kind enough to hold luggage we weren't taking with us until our return. When we did come back, we were kindly upgraded to a larger room, and our bags were waiting for us there when we checked in. Particular mention to the lovely Nis, whose bright smile could power the entire hotel, and Chop, a young gentleman who quickly attended to any needs we had (as did Nis). On our final morning, we had to catch out particularly early to catch our flight, thus missing breakfast, and he made sure to equip us with sandwiches and croissants to take to the airport. The staff was very professional, consistently demonstrating a high level of service throughout my stay.|From check-in to check-out, Nis which assisted us was friendly and eager to assist with any inquiries or needs.|Responsiveness: The staff responded quickly to any requests.We had issues with the water pressure for the shower and Chop attended to us immediately. When i requested for a later check out, he tried his best to help. |I had to use grab delivery to send my lugagge for repair and Patty assisted me without fail. When it was due to be sent back in evening, Chop who was on morning shift handed this info to Patty on the afternoon shift. They helped to store my luggage and when i enquired via email, Patty responded very promptly and assured me my luggage was back. She is very helpful and bubbly, indeed a jem to the hotel. |Room Cleanliness: The room was impeccably clean upon arrival. The bed linens were fresh, the bathroom was spotless, and all surfaces were thoroughly dusted. |Breakfast: Always new selection of food and the |hef is very accommodating. A place where budget meets luxury, In a most convenient location ever! This hotel is a hidden gem.

From BKK Airport express train station final stop at Phaya thai station. Walk over to the adjacent sky train station. That's where u take the exit 2, walk down, and go to small lane. The hotel is just a few steps further, after a Japanese restaurant.

I was warmly welcomed by the staff, and check-in was bliss. Very impressed with the design, size, and comfort of my room, I booked a deluxe room with a balcony. Air conditioning is more than sufficient, given it's been so hot lately (May 2023). The bathroom is well designed and has all the amenities. No bathtub but shower booth, hand, and rain shower.

I had a very restful sleep on their plush and soft bed. Woke up refreshed. Breakfast was also included in my booking, which was a nice and generous touch.

I gave 4 stars, not 5. It was because of 2 reasons:

Breakfast has a lack of choice, and staff were inexperienced.

My room on the 4th floor in a separate building has no elevator. People with mobility issues will have problems accessing it.

Overall, it was a lovely stay, budget friendly, and extremely accessible from the airport by express train. What more...
