Zeed.Station has masterfully elevated the humble pad kaprao with their innovative "Three Little Pigs" set, creating a memorable dining experience that delights both the palate and the eyes. Their pad kaprao is hands down the best I've had in Bangkok.
The star of the show, the Three Little Pigs pad kaprao set, showcases a perfect harmony of flavors. The addition of Chinese sausage introduces a subtle sweetness that perfectly balances the savory elements of the dish. What truly sets this apart is the attention to detail – the fried eggs are nothing short of perfection, with irresistibly crispy edges giving way to gorgeously runny, vibrant orange yolks that add a rich dimension to every bite.
The accompaniments deserve special mention. The crispy vegetables provide a wonderful textural contrast to the meal, while the soup offers a comforting depth of flavor. In a delightful seasonal touch, the watermelon is artfully cut into Christmas tree shapes, adding a whimsical and festive element to the presentation.
The sweet potato fries are executed flawlessly – achieving that elusive perfect cook without any bitter, burnt notes. They're served with their signature kaprao mayo that's absolutely to die for – a genius twist that transforms these fries from merely good to exceptional. This ingenious sauce alone is worth the visit.
To round out the meal, both the mango and watermelon smoothies deliver refreshing bursts of natural sweetness, while their authentic coconut ice cream, generously studded with real coconut chunks, offers a delightfully traditional Thai dessert experience. These cooling treats provide the perfect counterpoint to the savory main course.
The comfortable air-conditioned setting provides a pleasant escape from Bangkok's heat, making Zeed.Station an ideal spot for both casual meals and longer dining experiences. Going above and beyond, they thoughtfully provide visitors with a curated recommendation sheet highlighting local attractions and activities – a wonderful touch that helps tourists explore the best of what the area has to offer. The restaurant's ability to nail both traditional flavors and creative twists, combined with their impressive attention to detail and visitor-friendly approach, makes this a must-visit destination for food lovers and...
Read moreMost of the good Pad Krapao places in Bangkok are road side stalls so for some of us, the eating ambience may not be satisfactory. This cafe offers a good ambience eating in air conditioned comfort and tasty Pad Krapao.
And the watermelon dessert included in the set, it’s not only cute, they added sugared pork floss to the watermelon slices. Who does that? But this combination gives the watermelon unique taste that is refreshing and yet tasty.
Back to the Pad Krapao. The minced pork is still juicy and very spicy. My advice for those who cannot take the heat of chilli peppers is to go for less spicy or non spicy, although that may make the dish less delicious. So air conditioning is useful after all, in the Bangkok heat and sweating from the heat of the chilli peppers. My one complaint is they don’t use duck eggs which are larger than chicken eggs and more flavourful.
Do make your way here to try this Pad Krapao....
Read moreLet me scream into the void about this Thai basil rice spot—holy basil, it’s a vibe. First off, the plating? Chef’s kiss. Like, if “Instagrammable” was a flavor, this dish would be it. But don’t let the pretty face fool you—it’s got the guts to back it up.
The creativity here? Chefs are out here doing the food equivalent of a mic drop. I went full chaotic and mixed everything together like a mad scientist, and boom—flavor explosion. But let’s talk about the squid. THE SQUID. It’s like they took a regular squid, whispered “be legendary,” and sent it to flavor bootcamp. Tender, perfectly seasoned, and somehow the MVP of the whole bowl.
If you’re on a mission to eat something that looks cool, tastes cooler, and makes you want to high-five the cook, run—don’t walk—to this place. Just… maybe wear stretchy pants. You’ll...
