I dropped by because it is very close to my hotel and I forgot to pack my face creams. It turns out that most (but not all) of the stuff on sale here is for you to pick up at the airport. One of the assistants said it's minimum 5 hours and maximum 55 days (I'd double check the max if this is important to you bc she seemed a bit hesitant).
I'd recommend this place if you normally buy your duty free items at the airport not only bc you wouldn't have the same stress or time pressure but mostly bc they are so much nicer and actually helpful. Just picking up what you need can be such an unpleasant experience at the airport that this came as a very nice surprise. One even offered to try different products on me to make sure they match my skin tone, which is perfect for planning ahead bc by the time I leave I'm a lot more tanned and I have to wait for another trip abroad to try a new shade.
In terms of prices I think they are advantageous depending on what the prices are at your place of residence (like if you are from the US, just skip it) and possibly also compared to the prices in Thailand (which I find ridiculous tbh). Said cream costs 3450 baht on Lazada while it was 2770 at the Clarins counter here. It's a big difference.
The food is what I found to be overpriced. I had a quick look at what was available and the 225 thb for sticky rice and mango at this one place is a good reference. I didn't stay. It was also quite noisy and crowded. There were just so many (mostly Chinese) tourists. So many.
PS: I passed by on the 2nd day of their Chinese New Year celebration. I didn't stay long but it sure was lit!

Read moreKing Power Duty Free is one of the best places for premium shopping in Bangkok. The downtown City Duty Free Mall at Rangnam is especially impressive—spacious, modern, and full of luxury brands, cosmetics, perfumes, liquor, electronics, and local Thai products. It feels more like a lifestyle mall than just a duty-free shop.
I like how well-organized and clean the layout is, which makes browsing relaxing. There are also good restaurants and cafés inside, so it’s easy to take a break while shopping. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the selection is excellent whether you’re looking for international brands or Thai souvenirs.
Parking is available, and the location is convenient in the city center, but it’s also easy to get there by BTS (Victory Monument station). Prices are duty-free, so you often get better deals, especially during promotions, though some luxury items are still high-end priced.
Overall: King Power Duty Free and the City Duty Free Mall are great spots for both travelers and locals who love quality shopping, with plenty of variety, good service, and a...
Read moreThe king Power in Bangkok is the worst shopping place I have ever been in this world! the stuff are so ruled to customers. I smiled at staff just like in other shopping malls, but I just got cold faces in return! the way they talk to customers just like we are their slaves. I saw a female customer asked about a product information twice, the stuff just pretended not hearing anything, and for the third and fourth time the stuff just gave her some uncleared words back and walked away! the girl looked at me, wished I could understand what the staff just said, but I did not understand too. The girl had to left with disappointment. In summary, King Power of Bangkok is a back hole of Thailand. Thailand suppose to be a smiling country. I heard they are well known of good services, but the services I experienced at King Power of Bangkok is so so so so bad! Until now, I still can't believe majority of employee at King Power dare to do this to their customers. Just come here, You will understand. I wish they will be better by the time you come to shopping at this...
