Comforting Breakfast After a Big Dinner – Local Pork Congee After a big dinner last night, we came here first thing in the morning for a comforting bowl of pork congee. The congee had shredded ginger, which made it really warm and soothing. We also ordered some crispy dough sticks – they added a nice texture to the dish.

The staff’s English was just okay, but they were very friendly. We were able to place our order without much trouble – just make sure to confirm your order to avoid any mix-ups.

A true gem in Bangkok food scene. Samyan porrage is comfort food without par. Menu is simple, rice porrage with pork meatballs (or intestines if you will), egg as an option, flavored with ginger, halopenos and bread sticks. If porrage with meatballs sounds stange it is because you never tasted it - works perfectly. Result is a fulfilling, warm, tasty and extremely cheap (starting at 45 baht) meal. I wish I would live next to...

Honestly, this is the best pork congee I've eaten in my life. The price was reasonable compared to other shops, and we got so much marinated pork. The food arrived quickly. I ordered a congee with egg, and it was only THB 50. It was filling and delicious.
