Soei Seafood @Asiatique (เส่ย เอเชียทีค) — Restaurant in Wat Phraya Krai Subdistrict

Foreigners beware. Ordered two drinks, one of which was a pinacolada. When it arrived took one sip and complained as it had little coconut, little alcohol and tasted completely of lime syrup. Manager arrived and refused to change or take it away. When bill arrived I stated I would not pay for the colada as it was not good and had not been drunk. It went downhill from there. She threatened me with allsorts and eventually after I said I would pay for the drinks but not the service charge she called the police. Needless to say, after being threatened with being arrested I ended up paying full price. At no time were we aggressive and remained calm at all times but as a foreigner I had no chance, police officer even shook my hand twice after I paid. I tend to give positive reviews but the restaurant I visited last night does not deserve one. Soei Seafood @Asiatique does not deserve even 1 star as I had a bad experience there due to horrible service and them lying to us as customers They are standing outside and announce the promotion Buy One Beer Get One Free, which sounds good right? So we walked in and we wanted to order this promotion to be told by the staff that it is suddenly not available!!! The staff however does not seem to care that the business is lying to its customers … Even more horrible is that we ordered just a juice a simple juice and when we got a bill they charged us 10% service charge this not being a hotel and not providing any service. They are just abusing visitors and made my evening start in a negative way. Definitely not...

The portions were small and definitely not worth the price. The overall experience was terrible. The rice was cold and tasted like it was a day old. The fish also arrived cold, and when we complained, the staff blamed it on the fan nearby and then proceeded to carelessly reheat it by adding more firestarter underneath the dish. The squid dish was tough and chewy, and when we mentioned this, the staff argued that cooking it longer would make it sticky. Even when remade, it ended up to be overcooked and was not tasteful.
