Had a wonderful time with my better half and my only daughter. We visited in mid December, 2018. Took 400 Bath each for the ride. It was free for my daughter. She was a little scared while on board the wheel. The marketplace is full of vibes here. As most of the places in Thailand, you can roam anywhere carefree. People at all the shops, counters, streets even strangers on MRT were welcoming and always smiling. We got 4 rounds on the wheel. It is not fixed. More or less 3 or 4 rounds they give. It is not as tall as many other ferris wheel like Singapore Flyer but it moves faster than those bigger ones. the view from the top is absolutely memorable. There is a small amusement ground with it also. You can spend time there also. We enjoyed a lot just roaming around and window shopping. The market is a little expensive. There are a lot of restaurants with bars here. You can enjoy a nice meal with beer at night beside the Chhao Phraya river. We opted for good old KFC. They run a free shuttle boat service from sathon pier under king taksin bridge. To go to sathon pier take BTS Skytrain to Saphan Taksin Station and follow the direction to walk to Sathon Pier. Getting around the whole Bangkok is very easy and cheap when you are willing to use public transport and a mix of Buses, trains and boats. In fact, in this way you can save a lot of time also as traffic jams in Bangkok is a regular thing and becomes...
Read moreVisiting Asiatique Sky was a special and thrilling experience for us. Not knowing Thai language and understanding little English with their actions we made it to that place in the day we landed in Bangkok. From Nana to Saphan Taskin with interchange at Siam and Free ferry ride to Asiatique. Asiatique is a place to visit by itself, markets, Sky, mystery house (typical bore, except for the ride), restaurants. Smell may be a deterrent for few. We got the tickets not had to wait 30 min for our ride. The people aren't friendly, may be it was late hours.. Only our family occupied the cabin and it was fly time.. Had a good nite is night Bangkok.. Day ride would have been spectacular too. This is the highest the kids had been to hence they enjoyed it thoroughly ( I have been on Singapore wheel). But the excitement ended in 15 min with 3 rounds, first one was slow due to...
