**Hello fellow foodies,** In September 2023, my husband and I visited the **Blue Elephant** restaurant in Bangkok. We spotted it on an exclusive list of top Thai restaurants, so naturally, we had to give it a try! **Food:** The menu offers various set courses, and we opted out for one of them, asking to replace pork and beef with chicken and fish. This was no problem at all. Each dish was a true explosion of flavor. We started with a row of small appetizers, each boasting its own unique taste. Just when we thought we were done, a new round of dishes would appear. We eagerly anticipated each course because every dish was an experience in itself. The **green chicken curry** was amazing—an absolute standout. It was served with a choice of white and/or black rice. The dessert also left a lasting impression, not just for its beautiful presentation. The flavors were incredible! Think: colored sugar and a delicious homemade coconut ice cream. We had a large bottle of water, and our glasses were attentively refilled throughout the meal. Not everything was a perfect 10, but everything scored between a solid 7.5 and a 10. While the portions weren’t huge, by the end of the meal, we were pleasantly full. **Style/Ambiance:** From the outside, the building looks beautiful. Inside, it’s classic and romantic, with candles and elegantly set tables. It’s not very spacious, but it doesn’t feel cramped either. Each dish was visually stunning. Think flowers, vibrant colors, and delightful aromas. **Service:** The service was spot on from the moment we walked in. My husband was even wrapped in a beautiful sarong by one of the staff members, perfectly fitting the Thai style. It was such a fun detail that we still talk about when thinking back about the restaurant. **Location:** The restaurant is located in Bangkok’s business district, and getting there by Grab or taxi is easy. **Price:** By Thai standards, it was quite pricey, especially when you consider that you can often enjoy delicious meals throughout Thailand for much less. However, we really appreciated the experience, and it was worth every baht for the joy it brought us. **Recommendation:** We definitely recommend trying this restaurant at least once if you’re in Bangkok. You won’t regret it—especially if you’re looking to spend a bit more and enjoy a “fine dining” experience.

I can’t recommend this enough! I joined the afternoon class and because the other 2 people backed out, I luckily ended up having a private class. The school is in a beautiful historic house turned school/restaurant. Very convenient as it is right by the BTS station and beside the Eastin hotel. It is Michelin rated so it’s a bonus to learn from a high quality school. The 2 chefs who taught me how to cook the fish in banana leaves, pad Thai and prawn curry, and papaya salad. Step by step, including tips and advice that stemmed from years of cooking professionally. Even if one joins this class only for fun, this is so worth the experience. I didn’t think I would ever get to cook Thai food as I always thought it was too complex but after this class, I ended up enjoying it immensely and I’m no longer afraid of cooking Thai dishes, now that I know how to work with ingredients I never used before in my life. After the class, they offered to either have me bring home the food or eat it at their restaurant. Since I was in a hotel, I decided to eat it after the class. Note that after every demo during the class, the chef offered for me to partake in the cooked dish so I would be familiar with the flavour and can duplicate it. It was a lot of food, I couldn’t finish it even if every bite was super delicious. So it was one demo per dish and then into the cooking area for me to duplicate. It was so organized and the place was very clean. The demo classroom was a few steps away from the kitchen which made it ideal. I was given an apron, a sheet with the list of ingredients and all the recipes, plus a certificate when I finished cooking all the dishes. I was offered to invite my friend to join me in their beautiful restaurant to eat what I cooked. They set a table for us even if the restaurant was closed at that time (mid afternoon), the waiter served hot rice to go with the dishes, and the service was attentive. It was more than I expected and quite commendable. I have nothing but good words for this school and restaurant.

Embarking on a culinary journey at Blue Elephant Bangkok was an experience beyond compare. Opting for the Heritage Set Dinner, we were treated to a lavish feast comprising 5 starters, 1 soup, 4 main courses, and 3 desserts, each a testament to the culinary mastery of the establishment. From the very first bite, it was evident that every dish was crafted with precision and passion. The starters, bursting with flavor and artfully presented, set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. Each main course was a symphony of taste, highlighting the richness and diversity of Thai cuisine. While I savored the delights of the Heritage Set Dinner, my wife indulged in the king prawns, which she described as exquisite. Every dish was devoured with gusto, leaving us longing for more. Our dining experience was further enhanced by the impeccable service provided by Bun, our attentive server. Not only did he ensure that our every need was met, but he also went above and beyond to make our evening truly special. Bun's passion for food shone through as he shared insights from the Blue Elephant cooking class and even took us on a tour to the top-floor classroom. To our delight, we had the opportunity to meet the owner of the restaurant, who warmly welcomed us and engaged us in delightful conversation. As a gesture of generosity, the owner graciously offered us two curry power packs as complimentary gifts, a gesture that truly touched our hearts. In conclusion, our dinner at Blue Elephant Bangkok was a culinary delight accompanied by exceptional hospitality. From the exquisite dishes to the personalized service, every aspect of our experience exceeded our expectations. Blue Elephant Bangkok is not just a restaurant; it is a culinary destination that celebrates the rich heritage of Thai cuisine. We left with hearts full of gratitude and memories to cherish for a lifetime.

Best dining experience at Blue Elephant ✨ Visited Blue Elephant over the weekend as this was a place highly recommended by friends around me. We booked in advance and had to pay a deposit of 1,000 baht which will offset the total bill. When I first stepped into Blue Elephant, I was greeted by friendly staff and was ushered to my table. We ordered their chef tasting menu and I must say it’s really good and filling. By the time i reached dessert, i was hitting a food coma haha. Every dish was served and tidbit of information of the dish was shared by the staff. I really liked how knowledgeable the staff was and even shared the sequence of eating them. My favourites are the Tom Yum Koong, Curry Crab Charcoal Bun, Massaman Lamb, Grilled Pork Ribs! They really blew my mind. The other dishes not mentioned are great too! As I went to Blue Elephant to celebrate my Birthday, staff (guy in blazer and specs) was very attentive and even hinted my partner that they will prepare something for me. The whole team came to sing Happy Birthday with a guitar and it was a pleasant surprise! When we finished our dinner, we head over to their store to buy some paste to bring back home as it’s really good. we were even gave samples. When we left, I was given orchids. I really wished that I took down all the names of the staff that served us cause it was world class service and a thank you is not enough to express how thankful and touched I was with the service (close to tears if i have to be honest) I would recommend anyone who wants to have a magical experience with thai food and world class service. Price is not cheap for the tasting menu but you can opt for ala cartes which is more affordable. But i think it’s worth paying for such service and quality of food! Thank you Team Blue Elephant BKK for such a magical experience! Sending many love to you from Singapore 💖

impeccable service, superb Thai food, coupled with the fact of dining in a very special place ! That’s how we would describe our experience. This is our 12th Marriage Anniversary trip to Bangkok, Thailand and we chose to dine at the Blue Elephant. Venue was recommended by our Lifestyle Management and we would say that it’s an amazing recommendation indeed! Food is fantastic, not a single miss at all. Portion was a little big for the main courses though but for food of such quality, we did our best to finish what we could! We did over order a little! :P Service was excellent, led by Pin and her team. We were attended to every appropriate moment in a way that we didn’t felt “overly served”. Staff was very attentive and changed our plates at each intervals to ensure we had clean plates to enjoy our dinner. We had the wonderful privilege to also meet up with the Blue Elephant’s Master Chef - Chef Nooror Somany Steppe! She has a lovely character and made sure we felt at home in this wonderful venue. What an honor indeed! We highly recommend this not only just for special occasions but also to just dine whenever you visit Bangkok. The food is reasonably priced given its exceptionally high standards of culinary finesses! A must visit and worthy of such commendation! 5 stars indeed! Well done Chef Nooror and your wonderful team! Tip: Spend some time to walk around the building. Visit the shop and also take a peek at the culinary school. If you have time, schedule a session to learn how to prepare a Thai dish! We believe this will be an experience well it’s worth! It is our first but definitely not the last.

As a returned customer I have been anticipating today’s lunch. It was pretty disappointing…. Below are the details: It was 12:15pm that we arrived and ordered the Heritage menu which was THB 2,280 per person (for the three of us). Food was absolutely amazing… however a minute after my appetiser was taken, the fish soup was served. I asked the staff to have the serving slow down because I was enjoying my meal and it’s a fine dining with this atmosphere. My request was not taken. Somehow my fish soup was taken even though I have been saying I would like to continue my soup (was it a procedure to take the base plate while I was having my soup?) I had to ask the same staff to have my soup back… 😅while I was waiting for my soup’s return, the main course was served… I had to reiterate the same request to the same staff about requesting the kitchen to serve food slower… (I was pretty sure the other two tables’ guest were able to hear that too) 😅 then he took the main course away and returned my soup…. I’ve been to some top tier/ Michelin stars restaurants internationally and the services compare to here was pretty disappointed. It was not like this before 😔 At least please have everyone’s courses to be served at the same time and listen to guests needs / requests …. And if unsure please ask if the guest have finished their course (or please look at the cutlery position as a hint ..) Let’s see if I will visit again 😅😅😅
