The culinary journey at OJO is nothing short of spectacular. We had the pleasure of sampling a variety of dishes, each one a testament to the chef’s skill and creativity. Our feast began with the Guacamole & Tostadas, a vibrant and fresh appetizer that set the tone for the meal. The guacamole was perfectly seasoned, and the tostadas provided a delightful crunch that complemented the creamy avocado.

Next, we enjoyed the Esquites, a traditional Mexican street food that was elevated to gourmet status. The combination of sweet corn, cotija cheese, and a hint of lime was absolutely divine. The Ensalada de Betabel, a beet salad with a twist, was a refreshing palate cleanser with its mix of earthy beets, tangy dressing, and crisp greens.

The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the Asada Steak and the Lechon & Pipian. The Asada Steak was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy with a rich, smoky flavor that was simply unforgettable. The Lechon & Pipian, featuring succulent roasted pork with a flavorful pipian sauce, was equally impressive and showcased the depth of Mexican culinary tradition.

To conclude our meal on a sweet note, we indulged in the Arroz con Leche, a classic Mexican dessert. The creamy rice pudding, infused with cinnamon and vanilla, was the perfect end to a memorable dining experience. It was comforting and indulgent without being overly sweet.

A Wonderful Day with a Mexican Dining Experience , Lunch Set + Dessert + Drink for approx. ฿1,8xx

✅ View: 11/10 I was fortunate to be seated at Table 20B, which offered a full, uninterrupted view of the Chao Phraya River ,absolutely stunning. The restaurant also has a mezzanine level, and I imagine the view from there might be even more spectacular. However, it seems more suitable for groups of around 5 to 6 people.

✅ Food: 8.5/10 As someone who enjoys very bold and spicy flavours, I found the dishes slightly mild for my taste ,but still delicious and beautifully presented. I could request extra tortillas at any time , I like to call them “soul flour” because they’re comforting and pair so well with everything. Since I don’t drink alcohol, I asked the staff to suggest a non-alcoholic option, but in the end, I was perfectly happy with still water.

The sauces served with the tortillas were full of flavour, especially the green one (though I can’t remember the name). Every appetiser was tasty, except for the one with baby corn, which I don’t eat. The staff couldn’t replace it, but the toppings were so good that I still finished the dish. The other appetisers were all delicious. For the main course, I chose the pork ribs , they were tender and flavourful. However, as mentioned, the seasoning was a bit too subtle for someone like me who enjoys a fiery som tam pla ra with a handful of chillies! 😅

🎂 I also received a special birthday dessert! If you're celebrating your birthday, be sure to let the staff know ,you'll be given an extra dessert as a treat. So in total, I ended up having two lovely sweet dishes in one meal.

✅ Service: 10/10 The service was excellent. The staff looking after my table were warm, attentive and professional. At one point, lightning struck above, so I went downstairs with a friend to take some photos. When we returned, the staff continued to provide wonderful service , I’m truly grateful for their kindness.
