Unfortunately a zero star review is not an option.
Having spent a wonderful time in Tunisia and meeting some lovely , honest , genuine people , we thought that we would try this place. The English manager was rude , ignorant and very unhelpful.
Having visited here on the Saturday for a drink , we found the staff very helpful and friendly. However the manager ( an older lady with dark hair ) had a serious attitude problem. We returned on the Sunday hoping to enjoy a family meal and drinks. Having arrived around 7pm, we ordered drinks and then eventually the staff came to take our food order. 2 hours later, we had received no food and kept been told “it’s on its way “.
I accept that people had pre-ordered, however at no point was this mentioned until we decided to leave. We had a 2 year old child with us , and again I accept that when the orders were taken the system does not identify children’s meals. Having asked a number of times to prioritise the child’s meal , we eventually received this and still no mention of other meals or delays.
After a 2 hour wait , we decided to settle the bill and leave. Despite paying contactless at many shops and other places in the town , I was told that contactless was not available and that I should insert my card. I declined to do this and again the rude manager came to speak to me and I advised that I was not willing to insert my card and that as the staff had offered no explanation or clarity as to why we were left waiting I did not feel that it was safe to use my card and jeopardise my details.
Unfortunately, this place and its British staff have let the Tunisian people and culture down as this was truly our only negative experience whilst in...
Read moreJust been here with my family tonight.if your English and missing abit of home food come here, you will not be disappointed I can assure you.the owner is very welcoming and of course English so no language barriers. I had a mixed grill,my partner had Mediterranean chicken skewers,my mother in law had steak,my 2 kids had chicken burgers and homemade steak pie(all came with french fries and salad). All the food was cooked very nice and very tasty, more than can be said for best part of our all inclusive food back at the hotel.the homemade steak pie was defo the winner on the table in my opinion, soft juicy steak with lots of gravy and a nice thin pastry( proper nom nom was my son's description 😂). All in all a good experience and our meals were very nice, here for another week still so might have to take another venture along one day before we leave. One last thing, check them out on Facebook, they have there menu on there for you to see what's on offer and if you message the restaurant the owner is very quick to reply and answer any questions,oh yeah and she can arrange taxis back to your hotels too if you ask.hope this helps make up your mind and like I said at the beginning, you will not be disappointed. Thank you for having us and we wish you well in the future if we...
Read moreABSOLUTE DISCRACE DAWN, YOUR ATTITUDE WAS TERRIBLE...especially coming from you (THE OWNER) I'm now embarrassed to say we are british! you should be ashamed of your self for giving a family with a 4 year old autistic child attitude for asking a simple question.. like : is the bread similar to the bread in England as my son won't eat the bread here. You may get sick of the same questions asked, if you are you shouldn't be involved in hospitality work. Your waiter was pleasant. Rather got served from him! You should stay away from the restaurant. Simple.. look at ur restaurant (WAS EMPTY) does that not tell you to act up before you lose it! Was looking forward to having lunch at your british restaurant. But after your way of service got us walking out and decided to SPEND OUR CASH AND ENJOY OUR MEAL AND SERVICE AGAIN.... CALLED CAICCO ROMANO RESTAURANT! 1 MIN WALK near you! I give one star to your lovely waiter. Would of been nice to rate your lovely food if you weren't having such a bad day to take...
